Add that to the fact that PC is seen as desperate to improve the team now, I think other gms are going to be reluctant to move anything of significant value for Oiler players

Exactly, going to be selling .60 on the dollar. PC I dont think will make a move just for the hell of it, so I think they spend the entire offseason in a stalemate trying to get value. If Yak wants to be moved, then he might be the one to go, but wont get anything close to what a 1st rounder normally goes for let alone a fomer 1OA

I, for one, expect them to be considerably better next year.

My expectations are that they will move Hall this off-season and that the return will be spectacular. How many young wingers are there out there with his skill-set? 3-4 in the entire league.

If I was Edmonton, I would look at Anaheim. If they could get Hampus Lindholm plus for Hall, that would be an excellent move. Lindholm is one of the best young dman in he league and will rival players like Ekblad for years to come. Anaheim underutilizes him right now, and their defensive depth is outstanding. With Theodore coming in next year and more excellent prospects on the way, this is a deal that makes sense for both teams.

I doubt they get a return for Yak so he should stay put and the Oil can hope he turns things around, like Drouin is in the midst of doing. A full year with McDavid might make that possible.
