Same thing as LeBron except Crosby is actually a bad ass. Anyone who listens to his interviews know he's not a whiner, and anyone who actually watches him play knows he's not a wussy. In all of major sports I've never seen such a hack fictional narrative grow such sturdy legs and run until the cows come home.

It's like people are still living in 2005 when it was his rookie year. Time to move on folks.

It's been discussed countless times...the NHL doesn't really suspend unless
a) there was a call on the ice
b) there was an injury

Usually the NHL requires both.

This is not new.

Letang...probably should have been suspended...but no call and no injury.

I'm guessing if the same thing happens with Tavares...same thing happens in terms of suspension.

Tom Brady went to Michigan and plays for Bill Belachik. Not only that, he's the one person that actually likes Darth Bill. Those are two huge character incitements and reasonable hateable offenses

This thread is out of control. Pretty much all of us agreed it was a dirty play. Ryan Wilson said it warranted a suspension. Yet you people won't be happy until we lynch Letang, admit to some vague hypothetical league-penguins conspiracy, and commit Seppuku to atone for our Penguins fandom. Get over yourselves. It was a dirty play but excuse us for being relieved that arguably our most important player didn't get suspended. You'll never find a fan that will actively lobby for their star player to get suspended, and if you claim that you would then there's a high chance you're a hypocrite.

Im of the opinion that Murray is MSs starter now and Fleury wont get a game in the playoffs.

I'm really not sure on a suspension. Depends if you think he it was on purpose. I can't make a decision. His action looks on purpose, but I also don't see how Letang would have had the idea to slash the guy in the head with how quick it happened.

Very easily could have just been him trying to get thru the check and the check ended up weird leading to the slash. Since he has a very small history and you can't decide intent its a tough call. Regular season a suspension is fine, playoffs are a different story.

If you watch Letang slash with unbiased eyes, there isn't a fan in the NHL who doesn't think it should be suspension. The guy lost teeth for chri*t sake

It's a well known fact that the Pens were the best team in the NHL the last 2 months of the season leading into the playoffs

I feel way more relaxed watching the game with Murray in the net than Zatkoff as I'm sure everyone else does. The team did play much better in front of him than they did with Zats in Game 2 but I'm just thankful that Murray is back in there.

I don't know if/when we'll see MAF with his concussion problems. I just read that he isn't at practice today.

Strongly agree. I think if Murray keeps the quality starts coming in the playoffs I would consider moving MAF at the draft. It's a year earlier than I anticipated suggesting this and it sounds a little crazy, but Murray currently is about 90% as good as Fleury at a fraction of the cost. Clearing $9 million-ish in Fleury and Kunitz could be a prudent move. Sign a decent veteran backup goalie to cheap and see what you can get in FA to fill holes.

That said, Murray might not continue at this level of play and Fleury's concussion issue could majorly impact trade return....so take it with a grain of salt.
