I have no interest in the Pens/Ranger series and could care less who wins. My team is almost done. Why don't people just own up to admitting the Letang slash should have been penalized? The rule states you must always be in control of your stick no matter what, brutal reffing! My opinion is just straight honesty, if Simmonds or Giroux did this I would agree with a penalty and suspension.

Because it's the president that this joke of a league has set. Who's the last big name they've suspended for a long stretch of meaningful games? If your name's not Raffi Torres you'd be hard pressed to receive more than a six game suspension. This year when he crossed checked Crosby in the neck and then broke his stick over his back while he was on the ground was the FIRST time Brandon Dubynsky has been suspended and he only got one game. Where are the suspensions for Staal? Where are the suspensions for Neal and Simmonds for slashing a goalie's neck? Why is Rinaldo still in the league? How has Matt Martin only been suspended twice? How did PEB only get one game for his hit on Orlov? How has Ovechkin never been suspended for one of his hits?

Bottom line, the league does not enforce its own rules regardless of team.

Why don't you just run along, if you think Letang should have got nothing you are officially a homer. If Stalberg had done this to Letang he would have been tossed and suspended. I would put money on that! So wake up buddy
- joegreif17

Most of us on here have acknowledged that Letang's slash on Stalberg was dangerous and intentful and in a perfect league would have meretted a suspension. In the same game, Letang was wacked in the face by a stick directly in front of the ref and there was no call. Rick Nash lunged off the ice and made contact with Trevor Daily's head and no call was made. These were dangerous plays too, the Nash one was probably suspension worthy and if Daley had gotten hurt we'd be having a serious discussion about it, but there were no calls made. So I fail to see how the Refs were favoring the pens. They just suck at their job, so take your hater goggles off and maybe you should be the one that gets woke.

No we aren't because you think the league and the refs favor specific teams. I don't believe that at all. I think they suck consistently for all sides.

You are a troll thats why, its very easy to trace back to the exact time the incident happened on this very PENS board to see that many (myself included) all said if was a stupid/dangerous/risky move and shouldn't be tolerated.

Troll elsewhere being that you don't care.

What don't you understand the buh or the bye? BUH bye.

Going into the series I'm pretty sure the Penguins main objective was to get Stalberg out of the lineup. Maybe you should have checked yesterday where we all agreed that Letang should have gotten a penalty on the play.

Oh and how about that nice crosscheck by Schenn to Kuznetsov's knees last night? We'll just leave it at that.

No wonder so many people are starting to walk away from the nhl as viewers. The NHL gives certain teams all the breaks and Pittsburg is one of them. Letang should have been ejected from the game a suspension certainly earned. Kadri gets one game for a throat slash gesture, Letang gets nothing for an actual throat slash that could have been much more serious. The quality of nhl refereeing is at an all time low. Missed calls are everywhere and no consistency to their decisions.
- joegreif17

You may not have heard, but the NHL revoked from Flyers fans the right to female dog about anything for the rest of forever. How about you worry about your own franchise's troglodyte behavior from the on ice product to the jagoffs in the stands and when you've solved that problem, come back and gripe about everything else. Plenty there to keep you busy.

If you had been here yesterday, the vast majority of people here were quite up front that it should have been a penalty. Run along now and desecrate Kate Smith's grave or something.

If you really think the NHL rigs games for the Pens then you are a fool. Last I checked this is a Pens board, so you run along pal. And fwiw I think Letang should've been suspended. The NHL is incompetent, but I'm not dumb enough to actually believe they rig games or the season. Have a good day

FYI this is Hockey Buzz and I did not sign up to just watch the Flyers, Blues, and Preds my top three teams. I come on here to talk hockey with all nhl fans. A troll causes trouble and that is not my intention. Thank you for agreeing about Letang should have been penalized at minimum. I never said they rig games but the actual refs themselves seem to have favorites. Coincidental or not, it happens. I hope you have a good day too, seriously.

Well thanks. Last thing I wanna do is fight on an internet message board. It just gets so old that other fan bases insinuate that the Pens get preferrential treatment.

You call yourself a Reverend, lol It is a small minority of Pens fans like you that give teams a bad name, it happens in Philly too obviously but a troll I am not and will match my hockey knowledge with the best of them for all teams. On that note I am out of here, hope the Rangers come back and whoop ya.

No not like me...you will never see me go on an opposing teams board and start trolling or rambling off false allegations, accusations of game rigging, or other non sense. If you want to talk hockey fine, don't come on our board spitting out non sense and not expect someone to call you out on it.

We can talk about the refs favoring the Penguins over the Rangers when the league grants us a retroactive period long power play for Staal's shenanigans last year. Or when Nash goes to the box for targeting. Like I said, it's been called pooptily both ways. No preferential treatment to be had.

You guys are sure sensitive, I guess the truth hurts. Once the Pens are eliminated I am sure you will find some sad excuse why it happened, 10/4 over and out!

These NHL-Penguins conspiracy theorists are really getting old. Everyone knows that the NHL has more to gain from a big market Origional Six team going far than a small market team like the Pens, right?
