Feanor its quite obvious you and Super Schenn have a great dislike for Manning as almost every post is about putting Medvedev in for him. Which could help us but in watching this series with Ghost struggling defensively I believe Medvedev would be in the same situation. Have to believe Hak knows more about hockey than most of us and it is fun to second guess but gets boring when you state the same thing about Manning/Medvedev in most of your posts. Personally I don't think Manning has been our worst defenseman in this series. I think our big guns are due and although I think Mason has been awesome, Neuvirth has given us good goaltending all year and maybe change our luck tonight. Go Flyers.

Very fair assessment.

I also feel sorry for us as fans because our expectations weren't high, and the team was living up to them by competing hard even if they couldn't buy a goal, and then the wheels came off in the worst way. First the Couturier wheel, then the Mason awful-goal wheel, then the PK wheel, and finally the discipline wheel in game 3. Now there are no wheels left. Apart from Weal.

OMFG, I laughed at this post and the punch line. Well played sir. at least something to do with the Flyers had me laughing today.

As hockeylover said, they've made strides. Whether it was months of overachieving, playing hurt, or whatever, they just don't yet, collectively, have that playoff gear.

I think within each of us, there is a faint spark of hope that we might see another miraculous comeback, no matter how ridiculous such a hope might seem. That hope is really ridiculously misplaced, btw. However that may be, its there for me even though I know the Flyers have virtually no shot at winning the series, and unless they look like a totally different team from the first three games they have no shot tonight either.

There'd be no point in being a fan if there wasnt at least a glimmer of hope there, though.

So yeah.. we're idiots. I don't care. I want my team to win, I hope my team wins.
