if the Championship drought goes from 55 to 65, 75, 85 years is there really any difference? Seats are all filled. - PLindbergh31
I watch ZERO college football so I have no clue about either QB but man they better be right. that is a lot to give up for a team who still has a lot of holes to fill in a sport that the draft is very important.

The thing is, they have to love both QB's to do this. Because they have no idea who the Rams are taking. I wouldn't imagine they would give up a Kings Ransom for anything but one of these QB's
so Straka was not among the black aces callups. guess that tells a lot about where they see him. I'd still resign him because he is a good player for the Phantoms - nastyflyergirl
It does. Was not a Murray favorite, nor apparently a Gordon favorite despite his early season scoring stats. Did have some injuries. Straka not a fan of highly structured hockey (wants to left be to create) but, guess what, that's what the NHL is even more than AHL.
Straka is a real nice guy and very bright from an IQ standpoint but he doesn't really have the mindset of someone who will do whatever it takes to make the NHL.

Why: Because Mason lost
Trust me. You are in your mid-to-late 20s or so, maybe? Put in another few decades, and you will find there is no goalie that can withstand the fury of this fanbase when they don't win in the playoffs

He may want to go elsewhere, but he's good AHL depth if he wants to stay.
I'm glad they called up Alt. I can't say he'll ever be an NHL player, but he has a nice combo of size, skating and being right handed. Maybe he'll be the #8 the Flyers carry next season to avoid losing him to waivers the way Montreal did with Tinordi and Dallas did with Oleksiak.

Do these reporters ever ask why Medvedev is not playing when we can't score? - Feanor
It's been asked. Hakstol, when forthcoming once this season on the topic, said that he feel Medvedev needs to "compete" more consistently in the defensive zone.
What I have found over the years is coaches, especially in today's age of structure, structure, structure hate unpredictability in their lineup. They want guys who play the same basic game every night.
With Medvedev, it was all over the map. A few brilliant nights, a few horrific ones and lots of variation in between where you never knew what you'd get on a given night.

I understand all of that, but I feel that it's true of all of our defensemen, save Ghost and Schultz.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone say something negative about Neuvirth. Choosing Mason over Neuvirth isn't an insult; it's an opinion. - PhillySportsGuy

It makes sense when it's put like that. But I am surprised these desperate times haven't called for desperate measures.
Manning, MacDonald after getting boarded, Streit when he was struggling with injury or just tiredness... I still don't understand how Medvedev didn't get a single game down the stretch till the meaningless last game.

well the Flyers control that if he wants to stay in North America. of course he can play in the KHL or one of the European leagues
I would think more important changes should be done to the PK and PP.
Not swapping in another goaltender.
The lack of adjustments by coaching this series is frustrating. - flyer_nutter
With the roster, in this series, it's shuffling chairs on the Titanic. If a combination of Weal, Umberger, and Medvedev are the difference in the series, then we have even bigger issues than any of us realize.
