So Bellmare gets suspended for a hit similar to the one that got MacDonald taken out against Pittsburgh? Player off balance and still gets drilled? Help me out, I'm confused.

It was also similar to another hit from this series.

The whistles were unfortunately holstered and the inmates were all but running the prison prior to Tom Wilson’s unimpeded run from outside the Flyers blue line to deliver a dangerous hit on the numbers of Andrew MacDonald. This hit, and any like it, must be penalized with a 5 minute major penalty. In no way can it be deemed a minor infraction!

That Kuzy goal was just plain crazy. It hit the glass off to my left and all of a sudden was right in front. I was sitting there saying WTF that should have wrapped around behind and been harmless. I felt so bad for Mase on that one.

I think there will be changes tonight. I think we may see Medvedev, Weal and Neuvirth in. Not sure if Medvedev replaces Streit/Manning or an injured Schultz after the shot blocking clinic he did on Monday. Weal slots in for PEB but actually I put him on 3 with Cousins and Read and slide Laughts down to center on 4.

LET'S GO FLYERS and please take it back to DC for one more.

EDIT: Do we sing Happy Birthday to Ghost tonight?

Have faith young man, have faith. Win or lose, this season has been a step in the right direction. It will be painful if it ends, but the team has made strides that I'm happy about.

No I meant literally, I might not be able to watch this game on a television haha

They statistically comprised .005 percent of the sellout crowd

Picking nits, but it's 0.5 percent, not 0.005 percent. Otherwise, the description of the participants is spot on.

Flyers would still need a few more goals to win, so not quite that simple, but a better PK would certainly have kept them in the games longer.

It really is that simple though

As hockeylover said, they've made strides. Whether it was months of overachieving, playing hurt, or whatever, they just don't yet, collectively, have that playoff gear.

It's coming.

- tangent_man

Exactly. They have already overachieved this year. Hextall has a long term plan and I'm down with it.

The scheduler screwed me. I have a game of my own at 7pm so will miss a goodly portion of game 4. :-(

Heck. they missed the playoffs in 1970 because Parent gave up a goal where the sun streaming through an exit door got in his eyes. Stuff happens.

If Bobby Clarke was a half-decent captain and could have scored more, they wouldn't have missed.

Originally had it five-tenths of one percent then changed it to a decimal. NHL calculates save percentages as a decimal/percentage combo. A .915 is often written as .915% when they actually mean 91.5% not less than one percent.
