You trade when you have quality depth at a position, right now Centre is a huge problem for the Leafs, after July 1st, that may change.

Since Kadri's currently signed and the Jets, or any team trading for him, would know exactly what their getting I think the Jets would have to add something. Maybe conditional or do a sign and trade.
