I think its pretty safe to say that shaw doesn't know what's going on.

I watched the final game. Was fun. I'm glad Magnitogorsk won again because they are the little engine that could in the K. Their owner has thrown a lot of his own wealth at the team to build it starting with recruiting Malkin and Kulemin all the way back in 2004.

Also I would love for the Leafs to add Ilya Vorobyov to their coaching staff. I think in 5 years people will look on him as a real asset that was never used.

I think its kinda sad the politics gets in the way of what could be a great friendship between Canada and Russia.. yeah i know they have their problems, but our cultures dont seem that far off.. Im open to adding any staff that woukd be an asset.. Zaitsev, Valiev, Sosh, Komarov (to an extent) could benefit from a Russian speaking coach, and if he's that good im all for it.. as long as he understands the NHL game well. (Dump and chase).

The entire thing is off the rails. Yes, St.Louis got away with a number of cheap shots, dirty play, but this is NOTHING new for the Hawks....teams ALWAYS do this against the Hawks. In the past the Hawks overcome it and make the other team pay. Not any longer.

I do not think it is salary cap per se but most of it is self inflicted. Bowman overpaid one after another, with latest being Seabrook and Kruger, and doomed this team for mediocrity going forward. We do not see Kings suffering from cap woes after 2 cap wins, do they? They even get players (see Gaborik) take cap friendly contract if you want to stay on Cup contender.
