Is there a way to combine the words "terrible" and "horrible?
Because that's the kind of person you are for posting this - Dozzer
I'm sure Charles Barkley has done that before. |

The worst part is that there is another poopty ass pop song that has "Work, work, work work work" as a lyric too and sometimes they play one after the other. |

You can find good lyrics from any decade as long as you're not just looking at what's mega popular at any given time. |

No way.
Ever since "wake me up before you go go" became a hit it was over.... Straight downhill from there

The epic songs (lyrically) all came from the seventies, it's not even close. IMO.
Of course there songs in each decade, just not the volume like the 70's. No auto tune as well |

Because that's your favourite music most likely. Bias owns all in discussions like this. People didn't stop being creative or lose inspiration over time. What sells now (insert poop rap or pop artist) is watered down garbage compared to the average popular band in the 70s but there are still a lot of talented people out there. |

The lead singer was apparently furious that nobody liked any of their other songs ever again |

I'm talking lyrics, the epics songs of the seventies told a story. It's not about bands or their music. If you compare decades, it's pretty clear, songwriting in the 70's was damn good, Dylan, Lightfoot, Young, Simon, Taupin etc... On and on.
Gone through those decades, I can't think of lyricists that match those in the 70's. |

People will say the same thing about the 80s, or 90s, or 2000s, etc once the baby boomers are all dead and gone too. |

On a somewhat related note, have you heard the remake of Tracy Chapman's Fast Car?
Oh My Goodness, it is franking horrible.
The original one was a slow, sad lament, but the tempo picked up to match the exhilaration of the speed of the car.
The new one? It's a poppy, synthetic piece of crap. It poops on the original one.
Makes me want to burn down Andre Rison's house. |

The eighties was hair metal lyrics predominantly, 90's was country, same lyrics on almost every song, 2000 up, baby baby lyrics, I've heard it all, it's hard to pick out lyrical masterpieces, if you can, kudos to you. |
