I didn't think it was that great even before the change. Although Button has gotten even more annoying now.

Hayes/O'Dog/Noodles on Leafs lunch was the most entertaining sports radio I can remember. They're okay in the afternoon now, but Noodles especially having opinions on sports other than hockey almost ruins it.

Noodles' opinion on anything not hockey is rough

The other day him and Scott MacArthur were trying to talk about the Zelda video game. It was cringe-worthy

Scotty Mac was like "Wasn't Zelda like Sega's answer to Mario?"

OK, I get that video games aren't everyone's strong suit, but don't speculate on things you are that clueless about.

I hope the Leafs get the 1st overall pick. For many reasons.

One of those reasons is so I can see how it feels to have a bunch of people speculate if you are going to trade it, all the while knowing beyond any shadow of a doubt that there's no chance in Hell that will ever happen

I'd like to see the other side of the fence for once

I'd like some assurance that the NHL isn't rigged..

But you're right.. They wouldn't trade it no matter what.

I'm not even sure how Kadri got into it

I mentioned targeting a RFA like Trouba based on Mike bringing up the idea in the blog (yes, I read it. Shocking, I know) and somehow the first thought was Kadri.

Tbh, my initial thoughts were a combination of picks/prospects

- WingmanWillie

I'd offer up Gardiner if it were my choice.

Gardiner at 4M (Cost certainty) and there's little doubt (in my mind) that he could moved and replaced from within

Trouba (who would likely want something in the range of 5.0 - 5.5)

I wish.. the dumb thing is my conditions don't qualify for me for an perscription... mainly because they are withdrawl symptoms from not blazing.. but my sleeping and eating is all (frank)ed up.. oh well.. its going to be legal in 12 months so i can wait..

If you had to add Leafs 2nd (31st overall) to the deal, would you?

JG51 and 31st overall for Trouba?

I used to love my 2 hours of leafs lunch every day. Now I only get one hour from 6-7 pm and it's absolutely awful. I don't listen to the radio, I just PVR the TSN broadcast. I dont get any of the great hockey talk or entertaining segments they do and get mostly basketball talk. It sucks.

remember how kadri's suspension came on the heels of babcock openly criticizing the bias in the officiating towards kadri?

and then bang... questionable suspension

not overly shocking to me.... i dont agree with it... but it doesnt surprise me

The idea that they'd consider trading him for some package from Arizona is laughable to me if he really is as good as they're saying he is. An Eichel type player on an entry deal >>>>>>> an OEL package for a rebuilding team.

Only way I consider it is if Arizona is 2.

Then if they do Domi/Strome and the 2nd overall (so we can take Laine)

That would be worth it, IMO.

Beyond that exact deal, (frank) no

why would the jets make that deal tho?

a second rounder (albeit a high one) and a guy who has rounded into a second pairing d man with limited rfa years left for a 22 year old who is projected to be top pairing and has far more rfa years left

i think the leafs make that deal in a second... i doubt the jets would tho

Jets will have to over pay to keep their talent. Never know what will happen.

i think to get trouba you start with a young former first rounder (rielly nylander marner) or the leafs first round pick in 2017

the leafs would be lunatics to give up this years first

agreed... but i think if the jets make trouba available for trade they will get far better offers than gardiner and a high second

I can tell you there are 29 teams that will pay that and due to a little thing called supply and demand there is no way the price isn't higher than that
