I'm dedicated to winning. If I was an NHL coach the other teams star goalie would never stand a chance. This isn't a sport its hockey.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to suggest with this post, how can the coach make it possible for the goalie to never stand a chance?

He's saying he would instruct his players to run and injure the goalie and hockey isn't a sport?

Grinders' just talking out his ass about how coaches should encourage head hunting again. Honestly no clue how serious or not he is.

I kinda thought that's what he was trying to get at but when was the first time it has happened for it to be happening again? I honestly can't think of more than 5 or 10 times in my 36 years of watching hockey were a goalie was intentionally run and hurt, Ryan Miller getting kneed in the head a few years back is really the only time I can think of where I would say that a goalie got run with the intent to injure.

Your star goalie probably wouldn't last long either

Maatta should be out, Schultz in.

Kunitz-Crosby-Hornqvist
Sheary-Malkin-Fehr
H-B-K
Kuhnhackl-Cullen-Rust

Those lines make the most sense.

Someone mentioned before that malkin didn't take a single faceoff which tells me he's still not fully healthy. Maybe Sheary-Fehr-malkin?

Haven't read the comments (yet), but if you are using stats to try & justify an opinion, wouldn't you use ALL the available data & be subjective?

I can show why tomorrow will be sunny - look tonite there is no wind & it's clear, that means no clouds can be blown in & it will be sunny again tomorrow. (Shows % of nights without wind having clear skies the next day from 10 years of data, but ignores other available data showing pressure systems producing changes in weather just to prove my statement - oh & of course I showed a % that justifies my opinion! ).

Just saying, I mean only just to throw it out there but..........if Sid & 'G' make the team better playing together then why don't they play together? Isn't the objective to have the best team on the ice? Having depth now would make the decision even easier wouldn't it?

What makes the 2016 playoffs Pens team better, Sid with 'G', or them on their own lines? Whatever the answer is we should see it tomorrow shouldn't we?

Yeah they do make the most sense and like Drummer said above, if Malkin is unable to take faceoffs (which is almost truthful when healthy anyway), then swap him and Fehr. I have no problems with Fehr at C.

Wow. Orpik is in serious trouble there. He won't be playing in their next series. I certainly won't miss him pounding on our players if we advance, but man, sucks to see anybody hurt like that.

Im pretty sure White just ended Orpiks playoffs and perhaps even career. Didnt like seeing 44 all out of it like that. Kind of scary.

Definitely scary. Feel terrible for him. Looked like he hit from the side, but he came a long way to hit him. I thought it was a charge.

It was dirty. It wasn't directly from behind but Orpik couldnt see him coming. I need to see it again but from what I saw it looked like the head was hit and his jaw jammed into the glass at same time.

Orpik looked to be off balance. I have seen Ovechkin take advantage of players in that same situation. Sucks it had to be Orpik though.

Good analogy. Very OV like. No respect. Would love to see him get the same treatment.

However, now that I see it again, I'm not sure I see any penalty there.

I just saw it a few times. It wasnt really that dirty... but when you hear McGuire say "White just yelled at the bench I got him" you knew he wanted to hurt him. Unfortunate for the Orpik and the Caps.

I only have the crappy NHL app to see the check but it didn't look suspect to me. I don't think anyone is mentioning that hit if Orpik isn't hurt.

Orpik did look like he was in a bad way though so White will absolutely get a suspension.

It's playoff hockey, of course he wanted to hurt him. The same as almost every other hit, if they can get an advantage somehow they will take it - play to win, hit to hurt!

You can bet he will come out & say, "sorry, there was no intent to injure", even after saying what he said.

I'd prefer these guys come out & say they apologise but it's a physical hard contact game & people are going to get injured - like it or not! That's on the clean hits anyway. The dirty (frank)ers are just that & no one should accept any response from them!

Haven't seen the hit, but people on other boards are calling it clean.

Just watched the hit, Orpik is against the boards bent over - how isn't that boarding & a dangerous hit???

Would Orpik do that to someone else????................

So Flyers fan The Rat came in here all holier than thou talking about how classless it was for Penguin fans to boo Lundqvist when he got hurt. Of course we all found that to be so hypocritical as was proven tonight.

Man the Flyers might be one of the most under-qualified teams I can remember in the playoffs. They got nothing.
