This doesn't shock me though. Wanted to avoid Washington first round. The best part of this playoff run was when we made it and before we had to face the reality that we're rebuilding and most other playoff teams are going for it all.

I'm sorry, but there is a difference between playing with an edge and showing fight and the crap that went on tonight. Ryan White's hit on Orpik was playing with an edge and was a clean, hard hit that did damage. What Bellemare did was complete trash. He saw his numbers the whole way and didn't just push him, but blasted him towards the boards. There is no room for that anywhere.

I get they are frustrated and I get they want to win, but it's simple. The Washington Capitals are 100 times better than the Flyers. And the Flyers won't be the only team Washington does this to these playoffs. Instead of playing hard and with pride they've embarrassed themselves.

On a night honoring a man that made this franchise so special, a night where Lauren Hart was clearly emotional, a night they played Kate Smith and God Bless America, the Flyers players and their fans embarrassed themselves and turned a night that should have been special into one of the worst in franchise history. I'm disgusted. Truly disgusted tonight.
