They really could use some big hits. They got demolished in Saturday's game. - Streit2ThePoint
I wanted to see someone rip Richie's head off for that shot on Cousins...any player that has the chance needs to put him on his ass! |

I just think waiting until your down 3-0 is a little late.
They need to make this 2-1 tonight - J35Bacher
Which is why they should start the better goalie |

Laughton challenged him but Richards did the right thing. There was no need to drop the gloves at that point. It would do nothing for the Caps.
Kind of the reason I was pissed at Simmonds. There was no need to challenge Wilson at that time. |

I think the main problem is that we don't have many players who COULD knock Ovechkin on his ass. And it certainly wont be Giroux. Giroux would just bounce off him like a rubber ball. |

The 1st line looks like hell. Almost no sustained pressure in the offensive zone because they're constantly losing every 50/50 battle for pucks and then even when they do win them and get it to the point, the shots are blocked or miss the net from the d-men (outside of Ghost). G is getting knocked on his arse half the game, yet the Flyers haven't done the same to Ovechkin. There needs to be more pushback on that front! Sad to say it, but the 4th line has spent the most time in the Caps zone...sucks they have almost zero offensive ability! - aantny88

I still think Mason gives them a better chance than Neuvirth. It depends if the forwards can do their part, which I think they will. |

Neuvirth went 18-8-2 this season.
Also was a big part early on when mason was struggling.
Howard was playing better then Mrazek. But look at what the change did. That Redwings team was flying last night. Maybe it was do to being home. Maybe it was seeing the goalie change and playing with a little more emotion. |

Giroux would certainly explode like a nuclear missile. Meanwhile there Ovechkin stands like Godzilla, saying to himself, "did something just hit me?"

they are saving it to maximize the embarrassment for richards in front of the philly faithful. I always liked the guy but this is the playoffs and payback is warranted and expected |

then send Gudas and Simmonds out there and create a sandwhich out of him. I'm sick of seeing his stupid grin out there. It would be nice to see the caps frustrated for once in this series |

The problem is we don't have Tom Wilson. While Homer and Hexy wasted first rounders on defenseman, we could have been loading up on Wilsons |

Thank you.
You said it best. Simply put, what pisses me off most about this series is the caps are never frustrated while the Flyers have been for 2 whole games. |

Mason has outplayed Neuvirth, by a decent bit, since January 1st.
Neuvirth had 3 brilliant months (October-December) a really solid month (January) and pedestrian numbers since then.
If changing the goalie fixes stuff like this, then RippedFuel is right. They need to trade every(frank)ingbody on the roster and do a full scale rebuild. Because if simply changing the goalie solves coverage mistakes this bad, then the current personnel are too (frank)ing dumb to win. |

I'd like to see the Flyers get a couple of goals in the first period. Put the Caps on their heels. That would be different. |

Gudas is one of those who might be able to get him. But 8 outweighs Simmonds by 70 lbs.

The best way to play Ovechkin is to deny him the puck. Easy right? |
