Thank you Carol for giving us something different to talk about everyday. I am getting tired of the whole, Shink is better, Fire WD, Bring back the old players, and hand vs sword argument.

I did it 100 times and the Canucks were solidly, on average, in a top three position.
- LeftCoaster

I did it 100 times the other day and we finished with the second most picks in total behind Toronto with most of the picks coming in first and second overall.

Why everyone keeps blaming an injury riddled year on coaching is beyond me. WD is doing a good job. 35 different players and 9 1st NHL games in 1 season and we blame coaching? It did seem shaky at times but for good reason. I think next year we are back to where we were the year before as a bubble team.

I did it the other day, got the Canucks with number 1 on the first try and will not do it again. Keeping that browser page as is.

News this morning.
Drake Caggiula met with Ron Hextall of the Flyers with his coach at UND to discuss his options. It is expected that he will sign with Philly as it was on his shortlist.

People blame whatever the going flavour of the day is,

Coaching, WD dug his own grave here as soon as he didn't sign up to Hockeybuzz to take advice from all here, same with the media. My goodness how can anyone be successful if they don't follow Gallagher or Botchfords rants, not to mention super duper advance stats Canucks Army website.

(frank) injuries or 35 different players or 9-10 rookies, plain and simple that WD decided to try coaching all on his own, which was a fatal error on his part.

Now should we determine what the blame is for the forwards...Burrows without a doubt, defense all on Hamhuis, goalies well that has to be Miller even though Markstrom has worse numbers.

- Whiskey-Tango

Obviously the WD and the franchise's most fatal error is not telling us all the details of whats going on in there. I mean, WE are the fans, WE pay the bills by going to games and buying merchandise, we practically own the team and they wont tell us their playing system, tip their hand on upcoming roster moves, which players they are targeting or who they want to dump. Its unbelievable that the Canucks can be so disrespectful to us by not giving us all this information. As fans we can be trusted and the rest of the league wont ever find out, we will still remain 2 steps ahead

I think all of his trades had a purpose. When he first got here there were very few players 27 and under. He has changed that and when not injured we can ice a decent team.

Unlike what Makita just said I think WD is actually a HB regular and knows as much about coaching as we do. Free Willy

Easy answer. The freak outs hate every move and the circle jerks love every move.

Worst trade for me, the Kassian+5th for Prust. I had (small) hope that the end result would be flipping Prust for a 3 or 4th round pick and it never materialized because Prust is awful. I just was hoping some team would be delusional enough to add "toughness" for the playoffs.

Best, I like the Etem trade. Buy low on a former 1st rounder with speed who could maybe put it all together, worst case he is a young and fast bottom 6 NHL forward you hope can chip in 10 goals a year

Damn it how could I have forgotten that we own the team and need to scrutinize every detail of the plan....and I'm not just talking playing styles...there's gourmet hotdogs that need to be agreed to as well.

What are you if you think the majority of the moves were insignificant and included fringe/non-core roster players?!

Of course, gourmet hotdogs are critical to the success of the team. Well-nourished fans are loud and supportive and will give the players a boost!!!

They should have a newsletter and ask for consultation before making any decisions, that way we know what they are thinking and we have the confidence they are making the best decisions from our expertise!
