This changes your list to Nurse, Klefbom, Davidson, Hamonic, top paring RHD, Hall, McDavid, Laine, and Draisaitl.

his stats are bolstered by his first 20 games. It dips. He was inconsistent as the year went on. There's no place for him on the team. Nugent Hopkins' two way game is superior.

He has high value, trade him. Gotta give up value to get it. There's no point in having another inexperienced rookie in the lineup.

Either you're seriously overrating Nuge's two-way game or seriously underselling Leon's. Young players' offensive production regularly dips this is nothing new- except to you.

He's already 4 percentiles better than Nuge on the dot, he's bigger and heavier, and is- in my opinion- better compliment to the explosive skillsets of Hall and McDavid. Offensively you're not surrendering much and defensively you potentially stand to gain a C strong enough to box out the Kopitar's of the league that Nuge hasn't been able to do effectively so far.

Hits aren't the only factor to gauge "use of size". Puck control, faceoffs, separation strength, screening, leaning on people, etc are all as or more important than hits. Most of which Leon has been doing.

I am, but I'm confident in what we're gonna get out of both Nuge and Leon and I like what I see from Leon more. However, that doesn't mean we can't keep both.

There's a reason he has more value; he has more potential to be a dominant player.

Well we certanly wouldnt draft the best D available just so we can wait on yet another one to develop...Ebs gets traded that creates a need so you draft Laine which potentially fills the need (with possibly a better player down the road)
