Hat,
Pluvio,
Panacea.

If the refs didn't actually handle it, whatever happened was enough to work.

Identities do not equal people.

EDIT: This is a zen-like truth in the real world, as well.

At least two of those teams, Kings and Hawks didn't shell out giant $$ to their superstars until they had already won a Cup. LA went and got Richards and Carter, not exactly 12 million/year guys before their first and Toews/Kane and Crawford did not get paid until they got their first Cup. Just saying there are many ways to get high-end talent....drafting and developing comes to mind. And I'd just like to see one of the "stinks, 36, bum" crowd admit that signing 91 guarantees nothing.

Who ever said it "guaranteed" anything?

And it's not like Richards & Carter were making chump change at the time
They were VERY well paid

And there is no longer way for us to get a top end talent like Stamkos unless we win the lotto or get lucky enough to find a guy that drops in the draft who becomes a star...
Possible? Sure. But not very likely

Why are u so worried about the Cap?
We have 18 forward prospects ranked with top9 or better potential
We'll be able to fill holes when we have to let medium range guys move on. And if we make smart trades, we get a good prospect back for them when we make the trade to also help with replacing them.

Yeah, he was a guy I thought of when I was saying all that stuff about Seabrook.
I guess I'm just more impressed by Seabrook bc he does it deep in the playoffs every year.

Also ridiculous IMO that Weber hasn't won a Norris yet though
I wish they had a best scoring defenseman award so we could eliminate guys like Karlsson who don't play defense as well as these other well rounded guys.
That way, we can still give an award recognizing just how talented he is offensively, and award the Norris to guys that play outstanding in both zones.

Honestly though, I think Josi is just as good or better than Weber. Plus Ekholm is a nice player. They just find great defensemen. It's unreal

In our brackets, only The Banana picked Nashville to beat the Ducks.

Thought about it...
But Rinne has been so up & down I didn't have the guts

Agree. But Josi reminds me a little more of Keith in the way that he just does everything really good & doesn't have a particular part of his game stand out like Weber.

I've been talking about Nashville defensemen the last couple days.
They obviously protect Weber & Josi, but who's the 3rd?
Is it Ekholm? Or Ryan Ellis?
Looks like they may have to trade one like the Ducks

Could be a potential trade target

Ekholm. They just resigned him. I would love to pry him away but it won't happen IMO

Ellis is important to their defense too though
Pretty sure he was a fairly high 1st round pick, 10th maybe?
He's right handed, but I'd take him in a heartbeat as well as Ekholm.
Ellis signed for 3 more years & is 25 years old.

They've got Jack Dougherty coming up too, who they drafted in the 2nd round in 2014... I was so p!ssed we freaking took Karabacek over him! I'll never understand that pick, no clue what Murray was thinking there.
