Shanaplan will have to make a move for a netminder, curious to see who he will target. - Symba007
i can't see anyone moving a young goalie at this time. andersen is really the only one who is young and would be available. pittsburgh isn't dealing murray, tampa isn't dealing vas, and washington won't be dealing samsonov. samsonov still has another year on his khl contract i believe, so he won't be coming over to north america next season anyways. unless tampa decides to run with vas and gudlevski, but bishop is already turning 30. don't get me wrong, he still has a lot of time left in the league, but andersen will be around for longer. |

I never said it couldn't happen, I'm just saying there are some fans who are pinning their hopes and dreams on that happening, which let's be honest there's a far better chance of it not happening than it happening. The fact that people are even asking the question of whether or not the team can handle it shows that people are putting the cart before the horse.
Like I said before, I come in peace, I'm not trolling. I actually like what you guys are doing with Rielly, Marner and Nylander. - 6ringslowe
Well I'm not worried, they're gonna get a great prospect no matter where they pick, and Stamkos is probably better than the 20% they're getting on the first overall. |

Yup. Pretty thin in the prospect pool too. Sparks and Bibeau are not really that exciting to me, but I don't want to waste any picks either, because goalies are such a crapshoot.
Wow I just realized that Cam Ward is only 31. I thought he was Luongo's age. - gravyface
i was hoping for a better year from bibeau. he was the one i originally thought would be the dark horse, and potentially turn into a #1. i never thought of sparks as a potential #1. bibeau's numbers were decent last year, and you expected him to improve on them, but he didn't. he looked stellar in his preseason games as well. i believe one year he didn't allow a goal in the rookie tournament, and only allowed 1 in the preseason. |

I'd take a run at Antti Raanta maybe, but when you look at that UFA list of goaltenders, Reimer looks like Brodeur. |

Yeah, a bit shaky with the Marlies this year, despite being stacked. Not sold on either becoming regular NHLers. |

I'd be very happy with Matthews or one of the 2 Finns. Personally, my favourite is Laine, the guy is 6'3" 200 lbs and holy moly does he have a shot |

You'd probably be better off trading for a goalie instead of signing one through UFA |

i want to give him the benefit of the doubt for this year. i still think he has an outside chance of becoming someone decent. if we do get stuck without getting a goalie, i want to see how bibeau does being the #1 for the marlies. |

Well why don't you trade some picks or a forward then? I heard you had a couple of those |
