couldnt tell ya where they shop... but they go
i will reiterate my point... i am not saying stamkos wont sign here... but if he does... it will because he wants to be a leaf and nothing more.... the arguments about how he will make sooooo much more here are flat out exaggerated and simply untrue. - Dozzer
I wasn't arguing that at all, I just know It's just as exspensive to vacation there as it is here, even more so cause of the exchange rate.
But seeing as he gets paid American dollars.... |

Mike, long time lurker, first time poster. Here's my question:
Why did you ask for questions on twitter 2 hours ago but only here just now?
Thanks in advance. - lumlums

Could you really even eat that?
For one thing, it would be a sloppy mess in 3 minutes. - Atomic Wedgie
The whole thing would turn to mush before they even got it to the table. The line for a burger is at "difficult to grasp" not "impossible mush mess". You might as well just throw all the ingredients in a bowl and tell the patron to go (frank) themselves. |

I once saw a crazy documentary about a group of soccer hooligans in Scotland (can't remember their team). They called themselves the "Sociables."
In a nutshell: when the soccer hooliganism was at its worst, the police would ban anyone who even looked like they may cause trouble.
So this group of fans started wearing dress pants and sweaters to games - and then proceed to beat the hell out of the other team's fans.
It was as sad as it was funny. - Atomic Wedgie
Maybe Casuals? I don't recall hearing sociables.
Best names are Zulus, Suicide Squad, Lunatic Fringe, English Border Front, Naughty Forty, Nomad Society, Bushwackers, Ointment, and my home town team Cleethorpes Beach Patrol/ Grimsby Hit Squad |

My two cents (or nickel in Canada, as we no longer have pennies) after having lived in the States, and still travel there frequently:
Some things (gas, beer) are more expensive in Canada due to taxes.
For most other things, something that costs $20 in the US will cost about $20-25 in Canada, meaning that with the exchange rate, it could actually be cheaper in Canada. Price points on things like hamburgers in a restaurant, a pair of jeans, etc. are pretty much the same.
The one yuuuuuuuuge difference is sales discounts. 25% off in Canada is a damn good deal. I don't even look at something on sale in the US of A until it hits 50% off.
I've always wondered if the US has a different tax scheme for writing off old stock - it just seems like they are much more open to dumping stuff to get rid of it. |

Stamkos doesn't strike me as the Buffalo outlet mall type.
Maybe in some poop-hole states but not in NYC, California, Chicago ...and most other nice locales.

Yeah, I think you are right. The Casuals.
Can't say I blame them. If you follow a team in a league where only two teams ever win it, you need to do something besides watching the game. |

My favourite football club name: the Hartlepool Monkey Hangers.
Fantastic history behind it.
And the mascot H'Angus was actually elected mayor.
I swear, you can't make poop like this up. |

When did we as a society (I'm looking at you, North America) decide that to really enjoy a meal at a restaurant, you have to keep stuffing your face until you want to throw up? |

It's hard to even get through an appetizer at any chain restaurant in the US. |

Doesnt interest me at all.
Not sure what the deal is with restaurants trying to outdo eachother with making bigger burgers with even more toppings.
