It's hard to really tell, especially this early.. but I'm just assuming Bozak will be traded somehow at the draft or during the off-season. Helm would be a good replacement for a 3rd line C . Would be a lot cheaper too.

You don't think Stamkos had and is continue to have his eye on what the Leafs have been doing all year?? Come on now, of course he is. He knows the promise, he knows we have arguably the best coach who he knows. Plus Shanny & Lou.

Add the potential that Nylander & Marner have. Rielly also, plus possibly adding Matthews (or another top end elite prospect). Stamkos would definitely be the icing on the cake. Not to mention he'll most likely get the "C" , endorsements thrown at him, signing bonuses, etc. Being close to home, playing for the team he grew up loving. Any idiot would have their mind SET on "Leafs aren't getting Stamkos" .. I'M NOT saying he's a lock to wear the Blue & White in October, but I'm also not ignorant to confirm he won't be.

I mean if Nylander, Marner and our top 4 pick turn out how we are hoping...these guys could cost us 4-6 million per in a few years.
Add the fact that the Leaf nation believes every pick of hunter's is a superstar....Stamkos 9-11 cap hit could kill us in 4 years.

I mean of course we'll have won 2 cups by then...cause Babs is the best coach in the world, Shanahan is apparently a God and the Marlies are already champions.

All depends on what comes in this year at the draft and free agency.

If Stamkos or Matthews is obtained, your centres are

1C - Stamkos/Matthews
2C - Kadri (who will become 3C in a few years)
3C - Nylander (who will become 2C with a few years experience)

Bozak will be moved in this scenario for sure. Lupul most likely gets bought out or Robidas'd

Well, to be honest, I think if all 3 become great like we hope, plus having Stamkos...one of the 3 kiddos will probably get dealt for position help elsewhere, depending on what goes on down the road. Just the thought of Stamkos with the Leafs is just exciting as poop. I've always been positive about it on here when some haven't, and it's their right. Most people on here have been Leaf fans longer than I have due to age, and are frustrated and impatient, etc etc lol , whereas I've witnessed the struggle for 25 years LOL. It's just a good feeling thinking we may finally get someone that could really HELP turn this poop around.

And don't worry, Ben Bishop is coming next year
