Wouldn't be surprised if we sign Darren Helm & Kyle Quincey as Free agents. 2 guys that Babs are familiar with and Helm would definitely help this team out on the PK (would essentially take over for Grabner).

And Quincey would be a 3rd pairing guy or 7th dman. As of now, our technical locks at D are Rielly, Gardiner, Hunwick. Add the russian kid coming over, that's 4. One of the Marlie kids will most likely make it too. KQ wouldn't be bad, and imo, I don't want a young Marlie dman being up here, but being the 7th dman.

There is A LOT more reason for a quality UFA from TO to sign with the Leafs than ever before. I like the positivity, it's been a fun ride, I think it's going to continue! Stammer or not, Leafs will make some good off season moves. Bringing in Stammer is just icing on the cake.

Not to mention he'll most likely get the "C" , endorsements thrown at him, signing bonuses, etc. Being close to home, playing for the team he grew up loving. Any idiot would have their mind SET on "Leafs aren't getting Stamkos" .. I'M NOT saying he's a lock to wear the Blue & White in October, but I'm also not ignorant to confirm he won't be.
