It was one guy who shouted it... an a minor amount of cheering.... but enough that it was heard on air, and an embarrassment for the disrespect showed.

Still would never understand what would prompt an adult to do that. If it was my fan base too id be infuriated .

There was alot to take out of this game, they pretty much limited thier speed not unlike Pitt did to us last year.

Basically the first goal is Girardi and Staal asleep thinking it was gonna be icing. One mistake

2nd goal. Is a great play by hornqvist to block and pass for a breakaway goal

3rd goal is another great play by Lovejoy as Boyle (and if it was Zucc or someone else no one even mentions how bad the player is, but Boyle, well we know the deal) has an open net. I can't blame anyone on that. Nice pass to knuckles lol

4th goal can't stop that PP all game

AV calls out two #NYR who "didn't even take a stride to get back"on Kuhnhackl goal. Miller/Boyle caught watching. Says Yandle misplayed 2-on-1

Technically, it could have been a Ranger's fan.... not like the camera man went and singled him out.

My wife and kid saw that happen. sums it up. I think he probably has a blurry eye for a day or two. Fine if you get smacked in the eye as an average guy, you shake it off and sleep on it, but a goalie can't play like that.
Hope it doesn't turn into Berard, Staal, Lundvist.

At first I thought he took another puck in the throat but when I saw the replay...yikes, that was really disturbing to watch. I didn't think he was going anywhere other than the hospital. Ugly.

Every fanbase has its drunken jagoffs. Do you really think that at least one moron at MSG wouldn't also boo?

Should have gone straight to the locker room. You don't mess with eye injuries.
I drove a friend to the ER, then to an eye Dr when he got a steel sliver in his eye. Completely recovered, fortunately.
I think he will be back for game 2.

Enough of Boyle bashing. I think even people in Africa realize he sucks. Are we seriously gonna blame him for that goal? At least give Lovejoy credit for a huge play in the game. They were all gassed to were out awhile in the PP

Well hopefully your goalie heals and returns for the next match. I think it was a close bout... Zatkoff was sharp after a decent onslaught by the Rangers... could've taken the game over had 1 or 2 get by. Other factor is the Rangers D speed. Think that's gonna be AV's biggest challenge. Cya on Saturday

And the same result would happen, great play by a Dman goes forever unnoticed

That was only one goal, four more to account for. Better team effort on Saturday.

Maybe av should call out himself for not making personnel changes. Been reading your blogs for a long time. You understand when it needs to be shaken up. Why can't he see it? The same drek is constantly rolled out. Yet he just stands there chewing his gum.

Unless ur the lower seed and win every game at home and lose the series 4-3

You think a team is in trouble if it goes to game seven !!

They're certainly a resilient team. No Hank would kill any optimism however

This team beat themselves tonight they really did. Going in we knew special teams was huge. If you can't score on your own pp then don't take any penalties to allow them an advantage. Staal and G both caught napping on that first goal. That's a joke keep skating until you hear a whistle. Staal almost takes Lundqvists eye out meanwhile right after that this coach comes back with them with 45 to play. Come back with Yandle Klein or Skjei. At least two of the three!

Just stating that ur post about losing on home ice is wrong because it's possible to win all of them and lose the series that's all

Exactly. He's very stubborn. If they lose this round and that's an if as I want them to win but if they lose this round I will bet on him being canned. You can't have him yanking around guys like Skjei, McIlrath, Buchnevich next year and costing them games.

If they don't win I'm all for him being fired. I wasn't a fan of the hire when i first heard abput it. I knew his track record and penchant for this kind of crap. After the cup run i thought maybe he changed but nope same old av.

I was dying for him . One thing I know now is he's stubborn as hell, plays favorites with certain guys, and his team's are soft like him.
