I wanted Ehlers as well but I was still torn between the 2 as Virtanen was the local boy getting to live his dream. In the end I am more than happy with the Virtanen pick.

I think Benning got the best of both worlds, less offence but way more physicality. Something the club needed going forward with a younger group.

Fast and easy.....two things Bartkowski has no idea about. Ferraro was on talking about him one day saying look at Duncan Keith, 90% of the time he distributes the puck to the forwards one stride from the goal line (fast) and he takes the best lane when distributing that puck (easy). Which immediately kills the oppositions forecheck.

Bartkowski skates it north south great but his head is always down and he skates it into trouble 99% of the time then he has no idea what to do with it when pressured.

I think I heard that Ferraro segment.

he crosses their blue line with the puck and he isn't prepared to pass because he doesn't know where anyone is and turns over possession. saw that a little too much.

I really don't want him back.

you guys want to get in on the flyers bandwagon? I only ask once. Don't expect me crawling back here for you guys to jump on when we down the caps in 6 games, go on to beat the penguins in 7 and then beat tampa in the conference finals to go on to the stanley cup finals.

That draft is looking pretty decent so far for top 10.

Worth a Read regarding Vrbata and the role he played into NOT getting traded at TDL.

I've got Wash over StL in my bracket. President's Trophy winners rarely win, but I would like to see a few guys on that team break through and win it, particularly Ovechkin and Trotz

Guess he needs elite talents to hold him up, plus i though it was him that wanted to play with Bo? What a POS

Why would he go on record and say those things? It makes ZERO sense. Not only did he have a horrible season, but now he screams not only Terrible Teammate, but now Terrible Person. Exactly what every GM wants to hear when deliberating on whether to sign him...

Basically says that he only signed with Vancouver to play with top end talent like the Sedins. If he wants GM's to get the same performance out of him as his first year with the Sedins, than they have to put him in a position to play with top players. He is a grade A jerk.

He neglected to mention he was first unit pp with the Sedins and was still ineffective.

It is a funny business, he was told he was going to play with the Sedins but teams often see their lines shuffled.

If he didn't want to play with Bo or McCann, he should have requested a trade earlier in the season or after Bonino was traded..

he could have taken the football and gone home, but he decided to sit on the sidelines for the duration of the season.

It won't be. He's still useful in the right situation but he may choose to play in europe.

I don't think Vrbata was a good signing for a team in transition. To me he seems to be a special teams guy. PP and shootout. Those guys are useful to playoff contending teams. He can get you those extra points during the regular season, giving his team a better position in the playoffs.

Plus he seems too selfish to an effective role model for the prospects.

I think he's done. What GM would sign an entitled princess who will pout if not put in the perfect situation to improve their personal stats?
