Another concern is if Shaw isn't 100% and can't go because of injury during the game then we're down to Mash, Panarin and Ladd, so 2 LW's the rest of the game

And how was he in relief during those other exits? Did he turn things around for the team? Why wasn't he starting the playoffs all of those other years if he is such a world beater?
- tredbrta

You claimed he has been terrible in the playoffs I pointed out he has only had one real shot.

He wasn't great in relief

Crawford gave up 5 goals and had an .800 save percentage in his last game against a bad team.

Who cares?

since he got nailed by brouwer he has allowed 4, 5 and 5. Didn't have much help in front of him in any of those games...his health is critical...

if that is true to reality, Kane must be doing the Bickell hair treatment too.

I don't think that concern is getting enough attention. His and CC's health are very important to the Hawks imho.

Try and play a physical game tonight with Monster Mash and then steal Game 2 when Keith gets back? It's hard to see them dropping Game 1 in their own barn. But all we need is to steal one of these two. Fingers crossed.

That's concern #1, IMO. All the rest of this crap means nothing if 50 is not on his game.

Can't wait for the puck drop!!

Does it make me a bad person if I want to punch cartoon-Cory Perry in the face as much as I want to punch the real Cory Perry in the face?

tred...the brouwer impact is also over rated...he is a nice big body 2nd-3rd line guy that can check and score...but he was with the caps for 4 years and his "pedigree" and "leadership" didn't get them anywhere but early exits and 7 games losses...I like troy alot...wish he been able to stay here
- bogiedoc

I posted before that Troy hasn't done much in the post season in his career and that I hoped that trend continues. He has been pretty clutch against the Hawks though in the RS even with the Caps. He may help them stay disciplined but he has also been prone to bad penalties himself. It was one of Q's problems with him.

Swollen Ass Channel (Ott) being out may help them more in the discipline department.

Seeing the roster the Hawks are dressing the Blues probably smell blood and want to just play hockey. Their posters here - a number of whom constantly express contempt for this thread, Eli, and that JJ is "homer" etc... over on Jammer's thread are here for the same reason. They see the roster and smell blood. The cap was eventually going to give them that opportunity.

They need to keep in mind that they are 3 Cups in 6 years away from bragging rights though.

Shaw skating in drill has alleviated my concern a bit. He was getting constant treatment even to play last WCF and SCF for the back. Maybe his skating is a sign that wasn't the problem? Will see how he looks.

Crow is a major worry. Those 2 games after the Brouwer elbow - even that night in the shootout - he looked really out of it. He seemed alright Saturday though.

Who is the Blues third line tonight? Is it Fabbri - Stastny - Brouwer or Berglund - Steen - Backes? And is it this third line that the Hawks should worry about most?

Can I at least be happy if we win this year? Or is that out of line?

Only if every hockey fan - aside from Anaheim fans and members of his immediate family - is a bad person.

If Ott is colitis then Perry is prostatitis... and Kesler is balanitis.

Guess who has a med school drop out in his office?

Berglund - Steen - Backes

Wont matter Hitch has last change. Will look for matchups to put this line against Toesw or Kane's line. Would say STL line against either bottom two of hawks lines is the look he is wanting.

Absolutely not.... Only red kool aid served here.

And it may need to be spiked with grain alcohol after this series.

Depends on how you define 3rd line.

My guess

Expect Steen's line to matchup vs Kane's line.

Expect Stastny's line to fill the 2nd scoring line role and to be used in favorable matchups against the 3rd and 4th line of the Hawks.

Don't really have one

I would wager its the Fabbri Statsny Brouwer line

But blues don't have a 1 2 or 3
