Mash's TOI for the 1st period......1:03. Good thing they're rolling 4 lines so far.

To paraphrase Scott Skiles, when asked what Eddie Curry needed to do to rebound better ("Jump!) - what do the Hawks need to do to improve the PP?

MOVE!!!!

Make the goalie move, give different looks.

- StLBravesFan

YES YES YES. I move more playing catch with my son. SKATE and open the lanes!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sage, this isn't brain surgery -- I think most of us here know this is what is clearly lacking on the PP when they have few to no chances. Now I can take that on the 1st PP, but the next 2 as well.

As I said, this is on the staff. And this is where I get my gears grinding, when I see stuff learned years ago. I mean, this is a basic isn't it. Stand still and chances are you aren't going to get any chances to score. There are seams open but no one move into or through the seams and so it's pretty easy to defend. As proven.

Blues are running around. Hawks blew their opportunities.

Good road period. Gotta cash in though.

- TexasFlood

Agreed-- Lets see how the Blues come out-- and how the Hawks adjust--
The PP HAS to get going IMO with more shots-- keep it simple-- shoot -- rebound--

Blues are still riding the crowd energy momentum that comes with being at home in the playoffs. Hawks need to take the crowd out of it and make the adjustments this period. Let's go boys!

Most of the period was special teams-- where he doesn't play-- I did see him lay a pretty good hit against the Blues bench-- he caught someone!

On the PP don't need the full slapper, little half slapper with traffic, looking for the perfect shot, no such thing let the man in front of the net deflect it.

That's ridiculous. After 1 period and already shortening the bench.

Special teams played half the period. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Kesler's "no human can withstand" narrative? Or something else?

If it has to be, I'd put it in the GOOD penalty column. Bottom line puke trying to run the goalie. For shame.

He had no intention of pulliing up. Roscival was looking out for Corey. Atta boy.

LMAO. It was a good call. Do the Hawks EVER get a penalty in your mind?
