why is cross checking in the books?
- kinigitt

So we can complain when the refs swallow their whistles when we get nailed.
Gotta score here on this next PP, you know the zebras gonna even things up and I still don't trust our PK.

MUST make the Blues pay of their hack play-- put it in the net here--

Cant let them off the hook--- they think they can cross check slash instruct and late hit -- until you make them pay by scoring

It just seems INSANE that blatant cross checking, which used to be a pretty serious infraction is a MEH play game in game out these days. Unless it's to the face. Even then...

edit:

THE REFS ARE READING!

Do you and Simple jack understand the irony of you complaining about others complaining? When you do, get back to me. Until then, I knew gong show blues couldn't stay out of the box. 5v3!!

The Blues still show what hacks they are--

BUT they will keep doing it until the Hawks score

Like the aggresiveness from Ladd. Shaw looks to be laboring. Please shoot the damn puck on the power play

Notice the even-up when Stl was down 5-3? That is the BS that has to be watched!
And now an even-up penalty.

Yep.
How anyone that knows hockey can feel this club is playing well -- when we watch a passing fest on the 5 on 3 that results in absolutely NO scoring chances whatsoever. And we're not supposed to call that out?

Seriously not ready to play tonight's game. And that's on this staff.

Decent period. They look like they are STRETCHED just trying to keep up with the Blues. Refs are calling penalties, maybe that will change the way the blues play it.

Effort is there. I'm happy.

Intermission beer time!

Blues are running around. Hawks blew their opportunities.

Good road period. Gotta cash in though.

It was a VERY marginal penalty-- Blues have been obstructing all the way from the neutral zone down-- late hits -- major stick work--

Same old BS NHL playoff referee standards--

Hawks came out OK for a scoreless 1st period-- now adjust-- execute--

To paraphrase Scott Skiles, when asked what Eddie Curry needed to do to rebound better ("Jump!) - what do the Hawks need to do to improve the PP?

MOVE!!!!

Make the goalie move, give different looks.

Yes, but Toews getting tossed on the draw. That is an area of the game the officials control, but no one talks about. Watwch how often that will happen this series.

anyone else using NHL.com to stream shows the game doesn't have any feeds?
- SaskHawkFan

You have to pay to play with those guys. I tried it, price was sky high, service was horrible, customer service worse, AND I got mystery charges from Rogers on top of my subscription costs. Shameful state of affairs.

American hawks fans have no problem. Basic cable, NBC, boom. You're watching the game. You have to fork over 75 bucks here for a "playoff package" with rogers, and if the hawks get swept in rd 1, hey, too bad. Enjoy watching some california team games at full price.
