That's how they pay the driver bro. The tip is his to keep, not the restaurant's. And many restaurants expect the delivery guys to use their own car and pay their own gas. Giving the driver $2 for bringing me a pizza is far from the worst thing in the world, in my opinion.

One day the driver took us to this tourist spot, came back and picked us up, didn't have anything else to do, so he drove us around for 2 hours, showing us the town, stars homes, etc.

When we got back, the father in law says he'll get the tip, so I walked away.

Later we we having a drink I asked how much he tipped him, he said 5 bucks.

If they have the compatible machine when your card goes near the machine the transaction is automatic and doesnt give you the option for tip. Did not have any cash on me, felt really bad I asked if she could cancel it and redo or just do a bogus transaction but she could not.

Most restaurants around here have disabled the tap feature, because it doesn't allow you to tip. Same with any place that does cash-back on debit transactions, you can't tap.
