Rielly is already worth that cap hit. If he improves at all (which is expected) it'll be one of the best contracts around. Why'd he agree to that? Love it.

And Sergei Fedorov has all but confirmed Zaitsev will be signing with Toronto. .

I've always felt he was.

He is, but not by much. He's a $3.75M player imo. Somewhat underrated.

1) positive outlook that is genuine
2) no or very few overpaid underachievers
3) likely one of the youngest line-ups in the league
4) Lou threatening the players (and the players taking it seriously)
5) and something like 12 newly minted draft picks (unless as I expect Godfather Lou packages a few to move up)

Your BACC stratgey theory, whether you like it or not, actually makes a lot of sense. Take a look around the league. Crosby, Stamkos, Getzlaf, Bergeron, Marchand(as much as a rat that he is), Ennis, Tavares, RNH, Mcdavid.... should i keep going?
