I listened to Ryan Miller. I don't think he will be here. He sounded like a bitter, whiney little b!tch. He is gone and probably for a new hotdog.

Funny how the non-#tanknation types come around as we get closer to picking top 3...

- LordHumungous

Noted. We are not to be happy with any pick. We are not worthy.

Never was a big fan of Miller but he has provided significantly better performance than what some other Canadian teams were getting this season. That gives them some stability in at least one position. What happens if Markstrom is your #1 guy and he gets injured (like he did at the start of the season), wears down under the pressure of the #1 role, or doesn’t respond well to whoever the new goalie coach is?

Do you want to rely on a backup like the guys who played in Calgary, Montreal, or Toronto this year? They'd be looking at another lottery pick with somebody like that playing behind their defence.

Unlike the look on Boesers face when he was picked...

- LordHumungous

Benning may be thinking that Boeser's value has peaked and is probably checking out Calgary's 4th liners to see who he can get for him.

Central Scouting rankings have Sergachev slipping to 4th ranked D prospect behind Chychrun, Juolevi and McAvoy. 10th ranked NA skater overall... Red flags????

Boeser was going through some life issues. Losing a friends at his age and dealing with a friends major brain injuries is a very hard as well as is Dad with Parkinsons. He had to grow up fast. Life wasn't easy for him for a while there. His grandpa died after a game. He had a tough go. The kid has more character than people are giving him credit. We are not talking about some spoiled Dbag. Perseverance and heart. Some times the easiest way to deal with pain is to put on a face that hides your feelings. Life can be over-whelming especially when the spotlight is on.

I think he is just really tough to read from far away. Definitely didnt know about the things you wrote but it explains a lot why he is like that. Quiet and reserved but when you see him on the ice with his teammates, he seems legitimately happy so had I known these things that have happened I wouldnt have guessed him be a 1 and done college guy.

This.

I think regardless of whatever he was going through at the time, the guy has little to no emotion (face wise) even when he is playing hockey. His celly's are super rare lol

The kid has a 3.6 gpa. Life exists after hockey and the best thing to do is to be educated. I commend this young man for his accomplishments and what he is trying to achieve. He is everything this franchise could want for the future. If I am Benning I keep in touch but let him live his life. He knows there is a space for him and he is wanted. People concoct all sorts of $hit with this whole Vesey thing that may or may not happen. More than a few here need to step back from the ledge.

I am not going to pretend I know much about any of the D, but tweets and reports have mentioned Chych/Juolevi the top 2. A few here were preaching Serg so this new ranking just stirs the pot a little

I did. He is a gamer. I would like to see him back for one more season but something tells me he will make a choice to move on. If Fredrik Andersen $hits the bed in the 1st round I could see him going to disneyland.

Guys on the radio said demko refused to meet with JB because he was to broken up about the ncaa lose. Then said maybe the real reason is he's to scared to face them and tell them he may not want to sign

Benning taling about him today seemed like Boeser going back was basically the plan all along, it seemed to me anyway. I think Demko is the wild card. Boeser is next summer's worry.

Nice to see Burrows getting the recognition he deserves.

I can understand the thinking of jettisoning the vets for younger players to speed up the rebuild but I would keep Burrows in a mentoring role for the younger players coming up. Guys a warrior. Hansen’s the same deal.
