I agree but the thing with JT is what we are going to see with many FA's, Bailey, fasching etc.
We have many decent prospects but what we need are players to have a positive impact on 9,15,23,90. Can he be that? (time will tell)

bailey and fasching can be plug and play guys for a time here and there but for the next 2 years, IMO they should be penciled in only for 3rd line, with another 10 bodies within the organization

Very good point, while people are high on these two they are not who you should seek to round out the top 6. If they become that.. even better but I agree do not settle on these two

You trade the pick then and move back one or two spots, whoever is at 2-3 I'm sure would gladly give you a nice piece in return for Matthews.

Trade the number one pick if not 1-3 for a d-man straight up.
