although we will continue to get better, i do not think we will be competing for a cup next year or the following. I would hold on to him so that we are not handicapped on the salary cap just to improve in a year when it doesn't matter..

My big thing with Moulson is the expansion draft. Have to put in like 25% of your cap or something along those lines. Moulson is a good 5M to put in there. At the moment his cap isn't stopping us from doing anything so keep him, throw him in that expansion draft, and if/when you need the money worry about it then. If we buy him out after next year It's one year at $2,833,333, one at $3,833,333, 2 at $833,333. If we buy him out the year after that (after the 2nd expansion draft and when Jack needs his raise I believe) it's one year of $3,666,667 and one at $666,667. At that point it's better to send him to Rochester and save about 1.25M since you won't have that 2nd year to worry about it.

Drake is super quick but small. Vesey is the preferably option, problem is, you can't sign him until 8/15, well after free agency has started. I'd take both of them if possible, nice cheap potential
