Wasn't Bey on in the morning, and Morton Downey Jr. followed Stern?
We are dating ourselves.

There were rumors of Caggiula being interested earlier in the year, but those died down. The Canucks seem to have the inside track on both right now according to the webisphere
- Coleman

I saw the Canucks were heavy on Stecher.

Curious if they can get Demko signed or does he go back. If he goes UFA after next season he will be heavily sought after.

I haven't heard much on Caggiula other then previously the Flyers and Sens were both big on him.

Gotta love the brilliance of this playoff setup.

1 plays 7, 2 plays 5, 3 plays 4 and... (drum roll)

6 plays 8.

I hate it. its so stupid you lose one of Pitts and NYR in the first round and the same with Chicago and Stl.

It's okay to state it twice without back reading, some people like to ask questions that have already been asked.

You lose St. Louis in the first round every year no matter what the format is.

Just saw a Hockey Writers article (http://thehockeywriters.c...-pursuing-drake-caggiula/) saying that Buffalo was also in on him. He attended their prospect development camp in 2014. Either way, it sounds like he's taking a month to enjoy the National Championship title before he considers any offers.

Anyone know if the Flyers have interest in a promising, young, inexpensive free agent?

That kind of player could maybe be a good fit.

If anyone needs a maintenance day, its the kid who has played twice as much hockey as he ever has in his life over the same period of time.

I would have him locked in a room binge watching Netflix until its time to get on the bus.

I've heard that Theo Fleury (towards the end) was not very well-received, and there was definitely some tension with Lindros at times, as well.
- jmatchett383

Theo was a using addict.

anything heard when Lindros refused to play hurt? There was serious negative PR campaign by team. He sure has plenty of former team mates he still goes fishing with.

Then I wonder why Flyers fans seem to hate Mark Recchi the most? I idolized him when he was a Flyers player since he was a fellow BC boy.
Boy it sucks seeing him and Rick Tocchet as a part of the Pens coaching staff!

- Cable2k

I just hated him as a Flyer for being a diver. I hate divers, I don't care if they are on my team.

Theo also walked out on his team in the middle of a game.

Apparently, there was some friction with Lindros and some players (at least reported by the media) when he was supposedly giving the old in and out to Brindy's wife (again, reported by the media).

Edit: Claude Lemieux. Unbelievably clutch player, but apparently hated by the entire NHL (including his teammates).

I can't even rationally tell you why I don't like Recchi. he is just one of those players I don't like.

So how do you feel about Bill Barber, quite possible, the most notorious diver in NHL history?

Which is hard to imagine, since he and Brind'amour remain close friends and fishing buddies.

Rod once said, "How does Tocchet, whom I didn't even know, come to my house and find my friend and captain visiting my wife and 3 kids under 5? I'd expect Eric to be looking out for my family when I'd been traded. I'd never expect Tocchet there."

People love to make things up.

I didn't see him play live, ever. And I'm not sure I watched a lot of hockey then. I wasn't an every night fan until the 90s.

I'm not saying it happened, simply that the rumors didn't sit well.

I also remember Keith Jones saying they didn't want him coming back in 2000, even though that may have had more to do with team chemistry.

I didn't see him play enough to know he was a diver. I saw Recchi play a lot and dive a lot and hated him as a player for it. I really don't know why you are having trouble grokking why I'd have no opinion on a guy I didn't see play a lot.
