Yeah, I was wondering about that? Can't put one of your drafted players up in a hotel room for the camp?? WTF? - Hextall271
Considering that Simmer said that he never even MET the owner of the team while he was in LA, this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. The way that Ed Snider ran this franchise is the reason that it's been such a desirable location for NHL players and why so many of the former players stay in the area.

Heading into final four, many college Basketball "experts" said, "Don't look into the Nova-Oklahoma Game from the beginning of the year. These are two different teams now. They referred to Nova growing into their 1-3-1 defense and saying they have really grown into Jay Wright's system. It's clear the Nova team back then to the one that one the national championship were different teams. But, the constant of them getting better in their system made them have the ability to grow to be the best team in the country. They were not the most talented.
Hockey has a way of doing the same when it comes to talent vs. team.
Are the Flyers the same team that struggled in October through December? Clearly not, they had to learn a new system. They had to adjust to some changes. It's clear this is a different hockey team than they were early in the season. The cliché is to say you are what your record is. Which may be true, but understand how that record came about is more telling and if you take the teams with the best second halves the Flyers are among the best this year. They have grown into their system and have come together as a team. Their record is deceiving.
Washington is clearly the more talented team as was North Carolina, but are they the better team? |

Scariest words in hockey: Maintenance day - BiggE
If anyone needs a maintenance day, its the kid who has played twice as much hockey as he ever has in his life over the same period of time.
I would have him locked in a room binge watching Netflix until its time to get on the bus.

We all know how this crap works:
Day 1: Player A is fine, just taking a maintenance day
Day 2: Player A is day to day with an LBI
Day 5: We expect that Player A may be out one to two weeks, but we expect him to make a full recovery
Day 10: Funeral services for Player A will be announced tomorrow.

They are the better team. There's no chance they don't outshoot the flyers in this series. If the flyers win it will be with Mason standing on his head and the flyers cashing in on their opportunities

I believe that doesn't fit the format under Hextall's reign. Fits the format of Holmgren's reign. |

Maintenance day per Hextall. A little worrisome since they had an off day yesterday. Hope he's ready for Thursday. |

The Islanders were chasing him around and go a few hits in. Hopefully it's nothing serious. He was by far the sharpest player on the ice on Sunday so it could legitimately be an extra rest day for him. |

Good question. I'm not sure who are the jerks in today's NHL, but 2 guys who, for the most part, weren't even liked by some their own teammates (or so I've heard) were Tom Barrasso and Sean Avery. - BiggE
I've heard that Theo Fleury (towards the end) was not very well-received, and there was definitely some tension with Lindros at times, as well. |

Agreed. Hopefully he's just feeling a little burnt out in his first year and they are getting him some extra rest. |
