The "artist" seems to have a very poor idea of what a caricature is supposed to be.

is he on an over 35 contract? I didn't think he was. if he retires from the NHL wouldn't his cap hit just go away? if all of that nonsense is true about having to protect all players with NMCs prior to 6/30/17, his "retiring" this year would help them in that respect.

He signed in late 2013 and turned 35 in July 2013.

Agreed, unless they change the CBA to allow for career ending injuries.
- Scoob

Or just non-pre-existing career ending injuries.

Death by 1000 failed chip outs. Schultz I understand a teeny bit more than Manning, because as much as he irks me, he is responsible in coverage and on the PK. It's everything else...which is kinda important. Manning adds about as much offense as Schultz while being a lot more haphazard defensively in coverage, and not much better with the puck on his stick. Manning does however excel at NZ defense, an important Hak staple. Yet, Medvedev is just as good at NZ defense, is far far superior at breakouts, and has serious offensive touch.

Apologies to steely, but stats schmats -- I am puzzled how anyone can watch Medvedev and think he's a fringe NHL talent. I see him as an ace up the Flyers's sleeve that could close the gap in this series. And it will stink when they find that ace card turn up 2 weeks later in the wash.

I love how people call them fancy stats like we're running a factor analysis. We're simply looking at the difference in shot totals.

Yes, but giving them names not reflective of what they are is unhelpful. It is like the Metropolitan and Atlantic divisions. When they're all Metropolitan and mostly Atlantic, so how does that identify. Corsi and Fenwick are ways to make it a secret handshake Club. Give me RBI any time.
