I looked it up before posting, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irregardless , it has been around for quite some time (1795 South Carolina)

Most dictionaries list it as nonstandard or incorrect usage, and recommend that "regardless" should be used instead

Why the F2ck does regardless need to be emphasized?

That's definitely not the scouting report on him.

Matthews is better than Dragon gives him credit for. Laine is a beast but Matthews will easily be the pick of the draft imo.

like Ive said, to make laine is the best player. When I compare play on video I see Laine as better and more rounded than Mathews. Mathews Ive noticed needs a playmaker for him to score. I didnt see that with Laine, he's just unbelievable.

I disagree Mathews is the clear #1 choice. I would take the american. The best 1st overall American draft pick since Kane. No contest. I would be happy with either but would take Mathews in a heartbeat.

I agree. To top it off he's a year older and no question ready for the show.

If we are talking 1st overall before that the only player in his caliber is Modano.

No kidding. Sometimes I think Dragon's posts are made by a random observation generator.

Modano was soooooo damn good over the first 10 years of his career.

Closest comparable in today's NHL is Anze Kopitar apparently.

Crawford who was his coach last year, Craig Button, and Bob Mckenzie all said he is the closest comparable in today's NHL to Matthews.

Botch wrote about the Plan, today at the interviews a lot of the team members expressed the same head scratching. Danny Hank Miller Hansen Burrows MCCann Hamhuis and Higgins all said they didn't know what the team is planning or what direction they are going

so vcr gets mathews, toronto Laine, calgary Puljujärvi, edmonton drops to 4th and get Chychrun.....4 canadian teams improve.

be fun to see the competition of Virtanen/horvat/mathews vs JG/monahan/Puljujärvi vs edmontons many 1st rounders develop over the next few years

Botch doesn't know his own head from his a$$. That said the only players on a need to know would be the Sedins and I am positive the Sedins wouldn't tell him $hit any who. trust me Henrik and Daniel are in the loop.

It would be cool for sure but I don't think Chychrun falls in the top 4.

No Thunda . They were actually there lost for words and actually scratching their heads.

I never seen a bunch look so confused as to what was going to happen. I watched the media day from start to end . Some players like Miller Edler the Twuns were looking for words.

This is why I don't believe we have years of hardship. I think there will be a hefty overhaul this year. We haven't even begun and we have the addition of a top 6 , Larsen Rodin Tryamkin.

This is exactly what Benning or GMJB ( ) should be doing .

We should all be concerned about feelings.

Have you forgotten about Subban

Absolutely. I hope it continues to get shaken up until the next core is more solidified. Right now you can see potential but with pieces still missing. During transition it should be a constant "show me what you got" mentality. The problem is, they don't have a lot of options. This offseason will hopefully bring more clarity strictly in the cap spending area. In other words, I think JB attempts spending to the cap which may result in buyouts. Just my opinion but it could go either way.

but if it was edmonton in that position I could see them taking him I mean.

more young D in their stable the better at this point. then again, canucks need that as well. After tanev, and the new russian kid....gets thin right?

Canucks could use D, and top line players.
