Im totally fine with being the underdog.

At beginning of season this year, Islanders were once again not a team they considered a playoff team.
Then we when lost few games, all the experts said we would miss the playoffs. Instead we basically picked who we wanted to play.

Now they saying Florida going to beat us. that's fine. Bring it on.

I hope the Isles and Rangers meet in the conference finals.

But, yeah, if the Isles get bounced early I hope the Rangers do, too.

As much as I can't stand them, you gotta give credit where it's due. The Rangers have had success in the postseason, so I do think they can get through both. Pens more easily than the Caps....but it's possible.

Why not? Theyve done it every year for the last five. The penguins played well leading up to the playoffs but now the new season starts. Maybe they'll kick the rangers arses who knows but their defense was suspect the entire season and their goaltending is always a question mark come playoff time. See what happens but I wouldnt bet on the pens everyone's new darlings.

You cannot count out the Rangers, but I do not see a long playoff run for the Rangers this year. Just does not feel like it's in the cards this year.

I agree but the pens will have to prove they're for real before I jump on that band wagon. They're going in hot but that team implodes come playoff time for the last few years. Like I said we'll see...

I gotta say after reading some of the isles comments in newsday today, it feels like they are ready for battle, and ready to take the next step. I really think the first line is gonna carry this team. They're pretty much the "core" of the rebuild, so it seems like they have a lot they are playing for.

Side note : talk about freak occurrences......Henrik taking a stick to the eye from his own player. Yikes. Never wanna see that happen to anyone.
