Agreed. You can only work with what you have. I never thought the Cameron promotion was a great hire to begin with. When a team struggles, just promoting other guys to try and right the ship doesn't usually work. This team needs a new attitude and outside view. Someone who knows what it takes to go all the way. I'm tired of our management, coaches, and even some fans looking only at our depth chart and thinking we can be a contender. (I think Melnyk and Murray even said this team is a top 5 NHL team when healthy recent. Which is absurd) You have to compare this roster to other teams. Compare it to the 16 teams in the playoffs now. We need a couple of pieces in order to be better. Coaching is not the main concern.

what do you mean by ownership is let off the hook? was he supposed to fire himself?

management was let off the hook either......there is a new GM.

as for the coach, if you can honestly sit here and tell me that coaching (not just cameron, but his whole staff) isn't heavily responsible for what happened this year, then you're crazy.

one of the worst goals against, most goals against in the 1st period, probably the worst combined specials teams in the leage. that's largely coaching.....not putting the right systems in place, not changing those systems when you see it isn't working, not having the team ready to play, not icing the ideal lineup/line combinations to help the team win, etc, etc, etc

yes, the players obviously are responsible as well, and i have no doubt you'll see a few roster changes this year too.

i'm not sure what you're expecting the team to do here.....the season ended 2 days ago and they've already changed management and coaching.
