Nah. He hits harder and more often than pretty much everyone in the league. In terms of defensive ability and all that you're right though.

Komarov is a hard hitter?

I'm hopeful the Leafs can find a two way winger like Mark Stone to complement there top 6. Missing a guy like him

he was 5th overall in the league for hits

and he only played 67 games

komarov is a good third liner on a competitive team

Never been a huge Komorov guy, he had a pretty decent year, a career year at age 29 tho. I have a hard time seeing him ever repeat it but I think he's a nice 3rd line guy for the right price who works hard and grinds.

I don't think Laine is much like Stone.. Isn't laine all offense, the other Finn is supposedly the all around guy. I have no idea as all I've seen of them is at world juniors

I love Zaitsev. I just haven't seen him play on the NA ice surface.

You seen lots of him in Russia? I have kept my expectations down because I have never seen the guy play but there's lots of hype

You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? Perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.

Watched him a lot over the years and morph from a smooth skating defensive defender that was afraid to venture forward and shoot the puck to a true two-way player that leads the rush and has extreme confidence in his ability to get pucks through traffic.

Time/space issues are the concern when players come over from Europe.

Hell if I were the Leafs I'd throw a try-out Albert Yarullin's way too. Surprised nobody has tried to sign him after the past two seasons he's had.

It's pretty simple - Leafs Nation hates our most talented players. Always have, always will.

Phaneuf was the problem.

Kessel was the problem.

Sundin was soft and heartless.

The Muskoka Five ruined us.

Larry Murphy was terrible.

All a bunch of overpaid, selfish, pampered bums.

Yet we consistently worship our 4th line players, because somehow we feel that we can relate to guys making $2-3 million a year playing 14 minutes a night. They are like us.

Yeah Domi!

Komarov is awesome!

Wade Belak is the heart and soul of this team!

Motor City Smitty!

It's the insanity that unites us all.

- Atomic Wedgie

To be fair Wedgie, it is pretty hard to say that 3rd / 4th liners are the problem, since they are pretty much interchangeable. The other guys were a problem because people blame the players who are supposed to be your best players.

Best cereal (nutritional value not a factor).

I'm going with Chocolate Cheerios, because it basically turns the milk into chocolate milk.

- Atomic Wedgie

Mini-wheats or Multigrain Cheerios

When I was a kid, it was Cap'n Crunch.

i agree. people expect any first round pick to immediately turn into a 60P player within a couple years

for instance... nylander, who everyone loves... was only on pace for 48P

and he mostly got offensive zone starts whereas kadri had to deal with far tougher defensive assignments and far more defensive zone draws.

but everyone loves nylander

GAP syndrome... people cant look past point totals

- Dozzer

That was a pretty impressive pace for a guy his age joining a team with that little talent.

I'm not a big breakfast cereal fan, and I could never really wrap my head around chocolate for breakfast, but I was always a huge fan of golden grahams and cinnamon toast crunch.
