Yeah, so glad we ditched him. His career was clearly on the decline.

I mean, what the hell did the guy even do after the Leafs jettisoned him?

Other than win 2 more Stanley Cups and get elected to the HHOF, of course...

Wedgie confession: I was one of the d-bag Leafs fans who ran him out of town. My brother and I used to sit in the seats at the Gardens, and whenever he would touch the puck, we would scream "Larry Alert! Larry Alert!" It caught on with our section - lasted for months.

I really feel shame over that one.

He really didnt do anything for leafs

None of this would be a problem if we had Tyler Seguin.

He'd improve our D and goaltending

Hard to blame them when the coach says it constantly.

He's a great pickup...no showboating / no attitude / not a me first guy - easily likable. It's human nature to female dog about the most talented players especially when they aren't producing for the money they make ie. Phaneuf / Kessel ( even though i loved parts of his game )

I never heard too much female dog about Sundin...other than he should have waived his NTC the mother(frank)er.

- Garnie

I had no problem with his right to invoke his NTC...........if he stayed and finished his career here like he said he wanted to do. He said he wanted to end his career as a Leaf and had no desire to join another team mid - season. That's fine. I respected that. BUT THEN, he turned around and signed with Vancouver mid season with nothing to show for his departure.

And P.A only has 3 less points than Kadri

Why no love for him.

He was a bargain!

Wait... the Lottery isn't until the 30th?!? We have to wait 19 more days to be disappointed?! Isn't usually the middle of April?

Well, he wanted to keep playing and we should've signed him to a 1-year deal. Guy put up 32g/46a in 74 games his last season and it's not like we had a stud center ready to step in to take his place.

Would've came into camp in better shape too, probably put up comparable numbers.

Oh man lol. Every day people would call into the radio shows saying they should trade Sundin, how he is a terrible captain etc. You'd get the odd article suggesting that too.

The Sundin female doging was crazy. Gilmour and Clarke are the only guys that seemed immune. I'm sure you could go back further and find more but I'm not an old man.

What makes me feel good about all of this is knowing that Toronto would've just traded the 1st they got for him for a poopty goalie anyway.

Remember the time he had 22 assists in like 22 games and people were complaining he had no goals during that time.

I really can.

The Komarov worship in here the past two years has been baffling.

- Atomic Wedgie

Worship? Or just recognition that he's a decent forward, decent defensively, who throws his body and around, and can score goals. THat's not worship, that's recognizing he isn't just a stiff.
