As much as I would like it I think what we give up may not justify the means. Hoping TM can find this years Patrick Sharp and find that team who has 1 too many expensive players. Hope there is some name out there we havent heard being available maybe an Ott connection somewhere again.

He's never been a GM so he's never had absolute power to select whomever he wants. Already some good later round picks in Boeser, Demko, Tryamkin & McCann....its way too early to tell but looks promising.

As for every other aspect of being a GM, he stinks, but as long as he drafts well the next GM can do the other parts.

The Etem and Baertschi deals look good too.

I was guilty of driving while blind a few times when I was young . Realized the error of my ways as I matured . Most of us elder statesman have . Back then it was not condemned as badly as it is now. He learned . Felt really bad about being in the situation and has been nothing but a model citizen since . It is actually comical how fans of other teams still dwell on it without knowing any facts just headlines.

Too much media now having to fill airtime and column inches. Big deals are made of everything . Athletes are nowhere near as wild as they used to be.

Going forward with the draft I know its not an exact match value wise but id love to deal with Boston Deal 1st and 2 3rds(or player) to get Bostons 2 1's (15,20) and pick 31 they got from EDM

In regards to Datsyuk leaving Detroit it won't hurt them. They'll trade part of his salary to a team like Arizona trying to get to the floor.

As far as the big move(s) in the offseason I would really like to get that top 2 D. I'd move the 1st rounder after the lottery of course plus Ennis and a prospect to Anahiem for Lindholm. Not sure if that's enough but he's my target. Then I would try the Stamkos route, maybe Okposo. And lastly see if there's a chance Vesey would sign here.

If we could get Lindholm for the Pissek, Franson and this years first I would do that.
