Not just Stamkos, Stralman (arguably worse than Stamkos for the team) and possibly Johnson now too. These last few weeks have really hurt being a Lightning fan

Damn that is some rough luck

I don't think the Flyers are going to win but it wouldn't shock me and I know they'll put up one hell of a fight.

And that was dirty by whoever that Pateryn wiener is. Tyler Johnson would have no expectation that something like that was coming. (frank)ing ridiculous it should be a suspension

Ek, Hextall did not score a goal in the Caps series in 1988. His playoff goal (shorthanded) was scored during the first round of the 1989 playoffs against the Caps.

Look... this is professional sports and playoff upsets are not uncommon, but in my opinion, anyone thinking the Flyers can win this series is smoking some serious stuff.

Caps in four or five.

Detroit on the other hand has a legit chance of knocking out a higher seed because TB has profound injuries. I think Detroit wins that series in six or seven games, but will see their exit in the second round.

The only way I see Tampa winning this series is if Bishop steals it for them. It's a shame for them, because Tyler Johnson has had such a disappoint season. If he was the TJ from last year, I'd say they'd still be the favorite.

In a absolute desperation game against a largely AHL line up the Flyers eked by with the help of the officials. Caps in 5.

Wings in 6

Wings in 3. By the team game four comes we won't have enough healthy bodies to ice a team.

Caps in 5, in a physical series. I think the Flyers are mentally and physically spent. Been playing playoff type hockey for weeks just to get in. Also predict Tom Wlison will do something stupid to get suspended, because he always does.

I agree the Flyers lose but show me where the Caps have been so so successful in the playoffs lately

This is a line of thought in hockey that I never got behind. What does it matter how the Caps played last year, two years or three years ago in the playoffs with this year?

The Caps are clearly a different team than they've been before. They're playing a different brand of hockey with the emergence of different players.

As soon as the Caps grabbed Williams and Oshie I stated that this is Washington's year...if Holtby steps up...which he did.

At the beginning of the reg season I predicted a Wash/Anaheim SCF
We shall see

It's going to be interesting, that's for sure. I think it will be ANA or LA from the west and WSH is the clear favorite in the East. However, and I'm not being a homer, but I think if any team can make it passed WSH it's the Pens.

While I think FLA is highly underestimated, I believe they will make to the ECF and lose to either the Caps or Pens.

The big X-factor for the Pens is clearly health and Malkin's adjustment back on to the team. If they can stay healthy and Malkin comes back making the Pens stronger, then I think they're the only team that can defeat the Caps.

In 1987-88 The Flyers took a 3-1 lead in the series, a series in which Ron Hextall scored a goal by the way, but the Caps stormed back winning it in seven games on an overtime goal by Dale Hunter. Then the next year in 1988-89, the Flyers would take down the Caps in six games.

Ek, Hextall scored his goal in the series the Flyers won in 1989.

And the picture of Detroit celebrating is...... where?
- Beatle_john

Celebrating what? They lost to the Rangers. The picture of Philly celebrating is because they were the only 1 of the 3 teams that won on Saturday and their win clinched the playoffs. Wings celebration was in the locker room after seeing Boston lost.
