I don't know where the Leafs fans get off talking trash. They've made the playoffs... once in the last 12 years? The last time they won the Cup, I wasnt born yet (and I'm no spring chicken).

As for Claude Julien, I sincerely hope he keeps his job. Various old media and internet personalities have been trying to fire him since at least 2010. I can remember one writer... and I think it was a Boston journalist (could be wrong, memory is shaky these days), who one year was just ridiculing Julien shortly before the playoffs for his boring and predictable reliance on rolling four lines at all times. That was just before the 2011 playoffs, to be specific. Remind me again how 2011 turned out for the Broons?

As a fan of both teams, I'd actually love this. Vesey spurning Nashville stung, but I'm a huge fan of Loui and think he would be a fantastic addition to the Preds' top six. He's exactly the type of player who would fit in well with the Nashville system - skilled guy equally adept as both a scorer and a playmaker who plays a defensively responsible 200 foot game. I'm in the minority in thinking that not extending Eriksson was a mistake - I think he's the best Bruins' forward aside from Bergeron, and would have no problem in giving him $6 mil per for 5 or 6 year; but I'm resigned to the fact that he's almost certainly leaving Boston. In return, Boston gets a chance to negotiate with Vesey before anyone else... I don't know much about Vesey beyond his impressive Harvard numbers, but I'd say that is win-win.

Yeah, I think Julien did a great job considering what he had to work with. Given the problems on the team it's amazing that they came so close to the playoffs.
