Its not that black and white when it comes to pro sports.

I'm not debating, and perhaps I'm incorrect in my thinking. But at least in the U.S. Florida is notoriously friendly to the top 1% (above 450K income). No state income tax, no state capital gains tax, notoriously low property taxes in wealthier areas of the state. Just curious, what's the equalizer?

Im not an expert on this.. but something about having to file taxes in both countries if you're Canadian playing in the US and vice versa.

Ahh, yeah I guess if you are paying both Federal income taxes in the U.S. and Canada that could wipe out the advantage of having Florida as a residence.

As long as you'll note for the record that I was the only one rooting for best case scenario.

Then again, this could just be an alibi, so when I do die no one will suspect you...

Not only that but that have to pay taxes in each state they play in.

So if X Player plays a game in California and makes $100k for that game, there is a tax that has to be paid....might be a flat tax but regardless it is not just about the state/province of the team the player plays for. Just FYI.

Got it. I've never been great at tax code poop. If I was I'd live as far away as possible from where I do.

So hard to judge goalie stats anymore.

Hasek was sick and had a .922 lifetime Sv Pct. Roy and Brodeur had .912 for their careers.

This year 15 goalies had at least 40 starts and posted .920 percentages or better.

Yeah, Jimmy Tan Tan says goalies are over rated and lucky, unless it hurts his argument, then teams just win because they have good goaltending.

It's solid advice.

I wish I'd have Jimmy Tanner as a coach when I was young. Every single time I had the puck I'd just take a wild ass shot at the net. Shot attempt for!!!!! I'd have made the pros no problem. He really should coach the future stars.
