Yep 2 "meaningless" points that's gets us out of the 70s to 81 on the season. And now cuz of these "meaningless" points we finish in 8th last instead of 8th last. Oh wait.....

I so dont give a fvck about picks any more....

Who ever we pick is playing in rochester next year.
Let him incubate.

If the Kings beat the Jets tonight, which is going that way, the West will be set. If not, the Anaheim game tomorrow night will mean something.

Either way, tomorrows nights game between the Islanders and Philly still has implications on the seeding for wild card or not.

Another thing I noticed is that a lot of his goals came when they were behind or the game was tied. That could just be a product of the Sabres playing in very close games this year 95% of the time.

I don't really want to think about it. Would D'Arcy still be here? *shivers*

No Darcy, just Lindy.

His team is first in the west. Might be an Adams award finalist.

Tough call. Guys coached for 20 years and had competent offensive players for 4 of them- and two of those years were because the league decided to call obstruction which allowed a bunch of perimeter players to see what all the fuss near the net was about. I know it was haseks team, but that 99 team that lost the cup had 3 third lines. He did the best with what he had. He probably would have switched lines up frequently, probably would have played a hard working responsible veteran, like gionta, a little too much, and he would not have been able to ride his #1 goalie for 70 games (this year anyways). Bet his totals would have been very close to bylsmas.

Just watched the game. Nice "end of season" game. It still doesn't feel like it's over, seems like just yesterday we say Eichel score his first against Ottawa.

Picking 8th (If that still holds up with the lottery)

I think we are realistically looking at one of

Pierre Luc Dubois, Mikhail Sergachyov or Alexander Nylander

Mocks I've seen have been all over the place... Damien Cox even has Chychrun lasting to us... Will be very curious to see how this all shakes out.

I kind of wish some of the European players stayed there so they could start in AHL next year when they inevitably aren't ready to make the big club next year

This has definitely been one of the "faster" seasons in recent memory. Probably because, despite the constant, incessant, constant female doging on here about how bad the Sabres are, they were actually fun to watch the vast majority of the time.

Also, how hilarious is it that Milbury actually thinks he could be in the running for the Bruins coaching position? Sweeney made some puzzling moves last offseason, but hiring the guy who traded Chara and Spezza for Yashin then proceeded to sign Yashin to a 10 year $90M contract that just came off the books last year despite Yashin last playing in 2007, gave up Luongo and thread favorite Olli Jokinen for Mark Parrish and Oleg Kvasha, drafted Rick DiPietro first overall and was also a senior VP with the team that signed him to that horrendous 15 year deal would be grounds for immediate firing and a perma-ban from ever working in the NHL ever again, forever in perpetuity.

I would like Tyson Jost, or Keiffer Bellows. In a perfect world, perhaps package pick 8 with 2 of our 3rds and move up to 5 or 6 and grab Chychrun.

Both of those guys will go in mid teens we can get better prospects then them though Jost looks very good.

I not sure if you're aware of this, but very often, the rankings don't actually match prospect's NHL production. I'D rather have Jost than any of the prospects ranked in the 8th range.

I'm fully aware but it seems universally there is a pretty set top 10. Murray has also stated this.

I don't know much about Jost because of the league he plays in besides his ridiculous point production but I'd be surprised if he was taken above before 10

You'd rather have Jost than Sergachyov?

Not me as the Russian is everything the team needs from a defenseman prospect.

Sergachev is very good. Sergachev did blow his top in the WJCs so during an interview I'd be trying to rattle his cage, to see how he reacts...but with our great need for a LHD, IMO, you take Juolevi, Chychrun or Serg if any of them are there.
