Not sure I understand this.

So Kane will be better than him next year because his new teammate grace period will be over and he has a better 82 game pace for goals with a lower shooting percentage?

It was a joke. A bad one

Who the hell would want a Kasdorf jersey or one that Cole guy wore who will never play another game for the Sabres?

Edit: I would give #71 another look next year.

I would try it... I'd probably have a bad trip. That's been the norm the last few times with any mind expanding appetizers...

Saad has 30 goals now. That's like almost as many as Kane's 82 game pace with a normal shooting percentage plus adjustment to new teammates grace period

Cows poop on Saad.

I got to wonder if the point of playing these kids was for them to realize how fast the game is and just how hard they have to work in the off season, not to "mini tank" in to 7th or whatever. We're probably going to have an influx of prospects and this might be an attempt to weed some out.

It is kind of amazing how Reinhart has developed over the past 50 games or so. I was very unimpressed at the start. I figured he'd be pretty good, but not nearly as good as he is looking like he could be now.

Get a goal scorer for that line and it's one of the best lines in hockey

I think it's a little bit of both. Murray's not an idiot, he's done the math. Winning these last two games has the possibility of us slipping all the way down to 13th in the draft, but losing them can put us back in 7th with a little help from the Yotes. Playing the prospects in these games is invaluable also, every prospect should get one game at some point so they know this is how the league is, and how hard they're going to have to work to make it there full-time.

As good as Risto was last game he's been bad this game - didn't do enough on 3 of the goals. He needs better awareness, if that can be learned??
- turbo044

Yeah he was out to lunch on all three. Really bothered me when people were calling out the goaltending. I know a better goaltender may have made a save on 1 or 2 of those goals but Risto needs to be better.

I agree ....... GMTM is no idiot. He gets it ......... if you're not in the playoffs you might as well get the highest pick you can. Crossing fingers on the Sharks resting guys tomorrow. Looks like TB plans to do that as well in Montreal.

I think it was a bunch of things; a reward for their hard work and maybe to motivate them showing them a bit of the carrot and wanting to see how they would hold up. I think "Kransdorf" was ok. He didn't look super lost. He just seemed a skosh behind the play. He was shown that everyone can shoot at this level and to anticipate a bit more to compensate. Most goalies get shelled in their first games. I'm not concerned.

Murray also did it knowing that this game didn't have any meaning as far as the playoffs were concerned. He said he did it tonight instead of tomorrow because of the playoff implications tomorrow could have and he didn't want to have any complaints of impropriety.

Amazing. Lose Saad, replaced by Panarin.

I know he wasn't a draft pick, but that's what good teams do.

Lose a good player, replace them with an equally good player.

that will be the tough task 3 or 4 years down the road

whatever Darcy did, Murray needs to do the opposite

Agreed. Which is why drafting well will be important.

Assuming they're lower end D which one of them very well may be better then.

Also, don't forget to add Florentino to the group above.
