He's the face of the franchise and just donated $10 million to a children's hospital. He isn't going anywhere for a looong time.

Exactly, he donated $10 million to a hospitals and his teammates voted for Patches as their King Clancy nominee.

Something is up there, there's been smoke for years, and it is Montreal.

Very true. And to MaxtheLimit, also a good point. Anything can happen, but I think a Subban trade would be as shocking as any in the league and would need the owner's approval. That being said, I don't think Edmonton would want to bring in a one man show, attention seeking hot head to mentor their young guys. He's a class act off the ice, but Edmonton's problems are on ice.

I just don't think Montreal risks doing a deal for RNH with Subban going back. RNH is just too brittle. He is a great young player but I wonder if he can play every night against the other teams top D pairing. I think Montreal might pay attention if Draisaitl gets floated into a possible deal.

It would have to be RNH AND Yakupov + a D-man. Subban is exactly what the Oilers need and those two aren't playing at the level of a 1st overall pick - Yaks, not even close.

Duchene Rumors are back. I still say we sign Hoffman long term and bring in a #1C (like Duchene for example). If we did that I bet Hoffman becomes a 40+ goal scorer.

from there we focus on D and come chemistry throughout the team and tweaking the bottom lines and development.

What rumours? I haven't heard a single credible source mention hat he was even available, let alone a target of he sens. Only time I've heard his name mentioned is fans posting their wish list. The avs aren't moving their #1 center.
