Im pretty sure if the Penguins knew they could knock the Flyers, of all teams, out of the playoffs, its all the incentive that they need. Just switch the positions, how would you feel if the Flyers were the hottest team in hockey, just clinched home ice, and then could end the penguins season with one win?

yeah, i think saturday we'll be playing the pens 100%, just need to win.

Not that it matters with this team, but I wouldn't think you would see either team (Pitt or NYI) #1 goaltender might want to rest them before playoffs.

yes I know that, I'm talking whoever is behind Murray (he's been pretty good of late).

Likely Zatkoff... I don't believe Jarry is ready. Although he is dominating as well Murray did in the AHL, and was ranked higher as a goalie prospect. We could have another super goalie prospect

Fleury isn't ruled out for our game though... if he could play, I'd give him at least a period or two to shake off the rust.

I wouldn't really call a .908 SV% and 2.64 GAA in 32 games dominating.

Wow... seems I havn't checked up on him in awhile then. When Murray was caleld up, he was over .920 and barely above 2.1.

Seems he didn't rise to the challenge of taking the front load of the playing time.

FWIW I thought Streit has been playing very well the last two games
- YuenglingJagr

His shot that set up the tying goal was very strong.

I expected this team to be 6th in the Metro and around 20th overall at the start of the season, so as disappointing as the last two games were I'm not going to lose sight of how much progress has been made. Whether the miss the playoffs or make them just to get steamrolled by the Caps, it's been a good season.

I don't bother with streams, but tomorrow's home game is on WFMZ which FIOS and Comcast carry. It's channel 515 on FIOS.

I also heard Holmer would put the star on his checks after Hexy signed it

I thought the call on AMAC was weak as it appeared the Leaf stepped on his stick. I also thought G's skate was kicked out by the Leaf causing him to fall and take out Bernier. and lastly the OT goal has been waived off in other games for the same exact type play.

all that said, the Flyers put themselves in the position of being down 3-1 because of their own play. it took them to be down 3-1 to turn it up and take over the game.

I wanted Laughton in but not at the expense of Cousins not that either of those guys would have been a difference maker. I believe Jake and Simmonds were on for all 3 regulation goals against. Not good.

they still have their destiny in their own hands but who feels confident they will beat Pitts? I don't. they are on an amazing roll right now. I also don't have faith that the Rangers will beat Detroit. I honestly think the Rangers want no part of 3rd place. the first wildcard is a match up against a TB team missing some key players. Gotta hope the Sens play spoiler and the Flyers can manage 2 points in the last 2 games.

- nastyflyergirl

I thought that call on AMAC was a bit bogus too. Especially given the time of the game in OT.

A week ago they had a 90% chance to make the playoffs, to think they could be eliminated tomorrow is kind of ridiculous. They still have a chance. Pigeons and Fishsticks have zero motivation for these games.

Lots of tickets on StubHub for tomorrow. I think I'll ask the Mrs. if she wants to go.
