No way. Nash is one year removed from 40 goals. His deal is only 2 years. That's ideal. I just wouldn't pay much
- sbroads24

31and broke down.

Way past his prime.

There are stats floating around ... 26 is the end.

I'm predicting Rick Nash will be a Sabre. Just have a hunch. Big bodied goal scorer
- sbroads24

I could see that
NYR would prob take a 2nd & maybe mid-level prospect for him
They need to get that $$$ off the books,
And I can't see anyone giving up a 1st for him

Yeah... We can't be moving Risto
No way

I wonder about how "untouchable" Murray considers Fasching?
I think he's our best trade piece of guys we MIGHT be willing to move

- jdfitz77

I don't think they have seen enough yet from him but, I can't see Murray moving him. He had to be included in the deal with the Kings.

31 yrs old, bad back, only 15 goals?

The Emperor Wears no Clothes.

Pass

Scored 40 something last year
If he's healthy, he's still a heck of a player

He didn't trade for Kane and Bogo not to keep them.
- SABRES 89

I'm not saying get rid of them, I'm saying with what they'll want on their next deal, they may not even be able to afford them, especially at an even higher price tag.

Kane will get more i'm sure but how much more do you give Bogo ? he's over 5 now and that's pretty good.

I get that...
But what else do we have that a team like Anaheim will take for a good young defenseman

Ennis & Girgs aren't gonna cut it
And I'm assuming we aren't trading Reinhart

Besides Stamkos...
I'd guess Murray's top focus this offseason would be a partner for Risto

Murray has interest in trying to get Taylor Hall but I found out earlier today, talks within the Oilers organization started with Risto and that's a non starter with Murray.
- SABRES 89

This sounds exactly right. Chiarelli might move hall, but he absolutely HAS to get back a stud d. Yakupov, eberle, and rnh might be available for a more reasonable package but i bet none of those even registers a blip for murray.

Moulson also had 41 pts last year, what a difference a year can make in professional sports.

I got a good story about JP Dumont but i'll save it for the offseason, let's just say, Darcy is not on his Christmas list.
- SABRES 89

I heard Grier left pretty pissed off too

I think if we really want Linholm, we're going to be giving them McCabe.

McCabe, Girgensons, and 2nd

idk if that's enough to be the key part of a deal for someone good enough to be Risto's partner though

Maybe if we add our 1st?

I think i would float girgensons and pysyk for the best possible lhd and see what offers you get. Murray will probably want somebody very specific and it will cost more. Trading reinhart really gets us into borrowing from peter to pay paul territory. If its a team from the west i would guess bailey or fasching are gonna be asked for. I think you just mentioned it, but winning a bunch of meaningless games this last month has hurt. Really wanted that pick to be useful sometime next year. Probably not gonna happen now.

Let's just say, they had to be separated in Darcy's office, Dumont and Darcy.

I kind of look at Bailey and Fashing as similar players/ceilings with Baptiste a year behind. I would be willing to ditch one of these guys in a package for Risto's partner.
