The arrival of Gost and the development of Baby Schenn are highlights for me so far...
- bodiva88

Ghost is turning in a Calder season as one of the most electric D in hockey, Baby Schenn is looking to be that consistent (key word) 30-60 guy we've all hoped for, Coots is playing like a legit 50+ point Selke 2C, goalies have been terrific, Gudas has been a depth gem, MDZ was playing like a real top pair guy and could be part of the Cup contending corps, all our prospects had outstanding seasons, Hak has shown to be a good rookie coach with a Cup caliber system.

And the season isn't over tonight.

I really want this team to be rewarded for their run and get into the dance. It'll speed the rebuild up. Hexy doesn't trade youth for short term fixes so yeah we're gonna have fun at the draft. Just want that offseason to be quite as long
- Hextall271

I don't think it's going to have much effect on the rebuilding efforts. Look at the avs and flames. Avs made the dance two years ago with a real young squad, ditto the flames last year (even went 2 rounds) only to come back down to earth.

They're on a good path and this year has been impressive any way you dice it

Just have to hope and pray that hak's message will be a lasting one

I think it does have an effect. Experience and also starts to build the culture of winning. I think that's important.

He seems like a guy who is fit for the long haul. He isn't a rah rah in your face guy who kicks over trash cans and has loose lips with the media. And he's obviously good with the youngin's. I'm no fortune teller, but I like his chances.

I mean in the last month they have losses to Edmonton, Columbus, Phoenix, and Toronto. How is that possible?
- PLindbergh31

How is it that they beat Washington, Tampa x2, and Chicago

TIL I learned a team making up like 12 points in the standings in the final 30ish games of the season and just missing the playoffs by a point or 2 after jockeying for that last wildcard is "blowing it".

I still believe we watch playoff hockey.

Some people in here are fascinating.

I was really wishing that they'd pull Mason and put rayzor in after the 2nd goal. I'm worried he might not get to play this go round.

All foolish comment aside. I really like cousins and would not have scratched him for Laughton. Cousins has shown me more.

- Mononoke
