Last night's game in a word: sloppy

Hoping for a better word for tonight.

I feel like Hak uses the 4th line far too much sometimes, but they were the only good line that was able to do anything last night. If he'd just scratch vdv for Laughton that line could be even more effective. Or if Laughton could replace that plug read. He doesn't look nearly as fast as in past years, not scoring, not setting anyone up, defense is mediocre at best. Maybe I'm just being critical, but to me he's looked off.

That Leafs lineup is the worst NHL lineup I've ever seen.

If they just mail it in and think they can show up and collect the points, they will lose. The Leafs were pathetic at home last night vs CBJ, but we'll probably see Bernier tonight who has played better since a bad start. Our luck, he'll stand on his head and we'll lose in regulation .. haah

As they say, gotta dig deep. No lazy plays or penalties tonight. This is the very definition of must-win.

Ghost definitely seems a step slower, and teams are also figuring out how to play him.

There were some incredibly bad plays on the PP last night - Jake, Schenn - in addition to not scoring. Can't have any more of that crap. 2nd PP unit looked better, and that shouldn't be the case.

I have no idea why the power play has been so awful in recent times. I can tell you this, if they don't start scoring, even if they do get in the dance, it will be a short run.

Since Mason was so horrible last night, pretty much the reason the Flyers lost even though they couldn't score a goal, yes. Or Emery. Or that Lyons kid.

tee-hee but in all seriousness, people just need to stop about him. It's not happening until/unless a playoff spot is secured.

It seems very unorganized to me.

I agree with your lineup. Can't quote posts on the first page for some reason. Using firefox, or Explorer.

I would definitely sit MacDonald for Medvedev, but I think I'd substitute Laughton for VDV.

That's why there is no excuse tonight. Hopefully guys like Read, Raffl, Gagner. .... Not to mention Jake can actually get out and put some pucks in the net. Get some confidence.
It should be a 3 goal victory ...4-1 or 5-2

No doubt. What did they have, 4 PPs last night? And a lot of the best chances went to Detroit short-handed. Jake hit the pipe, then couldn't hit the net with 2 defenders playing without sticks? Yikes.

Think the quoting thing is you have to post 1st, then you can quote all you want. At least that's how it works for me when I encounter that glitch.

The Flyers looked like I do at 2:30AM Christmas morning trying to finish putting toys together before the kids wake up.

I think they are going to destroy the Leafs, but by a miracle they don't you will see plenty of excuses.

That was rough. And for a while it seemed like they didn't even know that the first guy had no stick as they didn't really work to that side. Pay attention, geez.

Essentially a 5-2, and didn't come close to scoring.

It was a tough break for Ghost last night on the first goal. He had Richard's stick up in his chin and that really should have been called a penalty as the angle showed the Ref right there watching and he chose to let it go for some reason.

Even Milbury admitted it was a clear hook. It's got to be egregious for that to happen. Of course MacDonald could have done something to prevent the goal, standing there like a cigar store indian didn't get the job done.

Saw that as well. Almost looked like Ghost threw the puck away in effort to draw a penalty. Which was an odd reaction.

Ghost fires the puck on his own net with a Redwing crashing the crease and it's MacDonald's fault.
