Doesn't matter, refs missed a clear hook on Ghost. That completely changed the momentum and got the Wings going. There were a couple other times in the first the refs missed penalties on the Wings and I personally thought that first penalty on Jake was bs. Just seemed the refs missed a lot against the flyers, regardless I thought we played with no urgency.

I honestly believe that Abdelkader could have been called for a penalty literally every time he was on the ice. Clutching, grabbing, slashing, tripping.. crazy.

The refs have been pretty brutal over the past month and a half though. Always seem to be making strange calls, in the way, bad faceoffs. Last night however was just a case of the Flyers playing like poop.

Coming off the debacle in Pittsburgh, and having two days off there is no excuse for last nights performance. Like you said, they could have played well and lost, in that instance you tip your cap, but they weren't ready to play from jump street.

Mason was terrific, deserved better.

I mean Giroux, Voracek and Couturier are not green horn rookies by any atretch of the imagination. They are highly skilled, don't think I'm trying to say otherwise but damn if they don't come out flat too often! This team remibds me of the lieberthal Abreu Phillies! Put up great numbers, no postseason, or any length of run. I saw this streak in Giroux and its why i lost my poop when they broke the bank on him. No it's not his fault they lost but he can control what he does when he is out there and for 8 mil a year with your team struggling to get in the playoffs you better damn well put the puck in the net on the pp with two opppsing players have no stick! Jesus this teampisses me off more than the Dineen teams did.

Gotta scratch either Read or Gagner for Laughton tonight. We're gonna need a fresher set of legs.

I'd say swap someone out for Medvedev also but I'd rather keep what little continuity we have on defense intact. If he's in, should be for Manning.

They really didn't play that badly save a few breakdowns. They just look completely gassed.
